    摘要: An X-ray apparatus is provided for inspecting a cargo container. The apparatus includes a moveable platform with an X-ray source and X-ray detector disposed on the platform on opposing sides of a scanning zone where the scanning zone may be moved along a length of the cargo container to scan a volume of the cargo container, said X-ray source being disposed in a spaced-apart relationship with respect to the scanning zone. The X-ray apparatus also includes a precollimator disposed on the X-ray platform between the X-ray source and scanning zone, said precollimator being located proximate the scanning zone and an intermediate collimator disposed midway between the X-ray source and the precollimator, said intermediate collimator having a spaced-apart relationship with respect to the precollimator and to the X-ray source.

    摘要: A chemical stripping solvent composition is provided for removing cured polymeric isoprene and bisbenzocyclobutene (BCB) substances from an inorganic substrate. The stripping composition comprises about 20 to about 30 weight percent anisole, about 20 to about 30 weight percent mesitylene, about 35 to about 55 weight percent of an alkylbenzene sulfonic acid, and may contain methane sulfonic acid (MSA) at 3 to about 10 weight percent, added to remove BCB in the full-cured state. Also provided is a method for stripping cured polymeric organic substances by contacting the polymeric organic substance with the stripping solvent composition at a given temperature and for a period of time sufficient to essentially dissolve and remove cured polymeric substances.

    摘要: A drill bit includes a body defining an axis and first and second cylindrical portions, a coupling adapted for connection with a rotary driver, and a depth stop adjustably secured to a first portion by a plurality of adjusting fasteners in a manner to limit penetration of the bit into a target surface. A method of drilling a hole into the surface includes locating a drilling machine fitted with a drill bit over a target location, compensating for wear on the bit by setting a depth stop to limit travel of the bit at the predetermined depth, drilling at the target location until the depth stop contacts a surface, where the primary cutting surface forms a portion of the hole defined by a first diameter and the secondary cutting surface forms a portion of the hole defined by a second diameter in a single step, and removing the drill bit from the hole.

    摘要: Two intaglio printing plates having a total length equal to the circumference of the cylindrical barrel (1) of a plate cylinder are prepared. The cylindrical barrel (1) is expanded radially, and on the portion of its surface corresponding to the first plate (4) to be attached an epoxy film is deposited. The first plate (4) is applied on the epoxy film in the exact position. On the remaining part of the cylindrical barrel (1) one or a plurality of metal sheets (5) are deposited for ensuring the continuity of the cylinder surface. The plate (4) to be attached is surrounded by a tightening ribbon (6) covering completely the plate (4). Heat is used for softening the epoxy film and the ribbon (16) is tightened by exerting tractive forces beginning from the center of the two ends of the ribbon and advancing towards the peripheral edges. The epoxy film is allowed to set, the ribbon (6) and the sheet or sheets (5) are removed. A film of epoxy is applied to the cylinder surface corresponding to the second plate to be attached and the same procedure as before is carried out.
