The holding and rotating means 14 holds and rotate a disk-like magnetic disc substrate 1 or a truing grinding wheel 2 to closely contact to its supporting surface, has constitution capable of moving horizontally and vertically, wherein a surface for working 12a is processed to yield a flat surface on the machine, subsequently, alternative operations on the machine are carried out for grinding of the supporting surface 14a of the holding and rotating means of the workpiece simultaneously with electrolytic dressing of the metal bond grinding wheel and grinding of the magnetic disc substrate 1 attached to the holding and rotating means of the workpiece.

    摘要： A rectangular case of a battery has cover, which is inserted into an open end of the case with the peripheral edge thereof butted against an inner periphery of the case, forming an interface to be welded. In order to form an equal weld penetration depth, the welding of the corners of the weld interface and straight sides thereof is carried out differently. For example, when the corner of the weld interface is welded, the laser beam is aimed at a portion offset outside the corner of the weld interface while the laser beam is applied right on the weld interface when the straight side is welded. Each portion on the straight sides is, preferably, welded before the above main welding for temporary setting.

The resistor of the spark plug is made of a sintered material comprising by weight, 0.9-3.0% of one of TiN, TiC, WC, TiB.sub.2, ZrC, HfC, SiC, TaC, MoSi.sub.2 and mixtures thereof, 9-40% of fine glass powder having a larger grain size than that of said conductive material, not more than 20% of magnetic substance, and 60-90% of coarse glass powder having a larger grain size than that of the fine glass powder. The composition is free of elemental carbon.
