    摘要: A balanced mixer is used as a switch. In digital mode, the balanced mixer receives a digital mode analog waveform and a local oscillator (L.O.). The balanced mixer mixes the waveform and the L.O. to provide a resultant output signal. In analog mode, the L.O. is modulated to contain the communication information. No analog signal is present on the port of the mixer which received the digital mode analog waveform in digital mode. The desired output of the mixer is the modulated L.O. In order to pass the L.O. through the mixer, a DC bias is applied to one of the waveform terminals of the mixer to unbalance it. A diode attenuator is added to the output of the mixer to provide scaling of the analog mode output.

    摘要: A high dynamic range linear automatic gain control (AGC) circuit that has independent means for temperature compensation. The temperature compensation circuit of this invention can be used in a closed-loop AGC circuit such as is required in a transceiver for compensating the gains of receiver and transmitter amplifiers to ensure that both track closely over ranges of temperature, frequency and load impedance. The temperature compensation signal is coupled to one of the two gates in a field effect transistor (FET) amplifier to maintain a constant gain function over ranges of temperature, frequency and load impedance. Thermal compensation for the transmitter amplifier is derived from the thermal compensation signal for the receiver amplifier.

    摘要: A power control system for a cellular mobile telephone system in which system users communicate information signals between one another via at least one cell site using code division multiple access spread spectrum communication signals. The power control system controls transmission signal power for each cellular mobile telephone in the cellular mobile telephone system wherein each cellular mobile telephone has an antenna, transmitter and receiver and each cell-site also has an antenna, transmitter and receiver. Cell-site transmitted signal power is measured as received at the mobile unit. Transmitter power is adjusted at the mobile unit in an opposite manner with respect to increases and decreases in received signal power. A power control feedback scheme may also be utilized. At the cell-site communicating with the mobile unit, the mobile unit transmitted power is measured as received at the cell-site. A command signal is generated at the cell-site and transmitted to the mobile unit for further adjusting mobile unit transmitter power corresponding to deviations in the cell site received signal power. The feedback scheme is used to further adjust the mobile unit transmitter power so that mobile unit transmitted signals arrive at the cell-site at a desired power level.

A wireless power receiver includes a receive antenna for coupling with near field radiation in a coupling-mode region generated by a transmit antenna operating at a resonant frequency.     摘要: Schemes to time-align transmissions from multiple base stations to a terminal. To achieve time-alignment, differences between the arrival times of transmissions from the base stations, as observed at the terminal, are determined and provided to the system and used to adjust the timing at the base stations such that terminal-specific radio frames arrive at the terminal within a particular time window. In one scheme, a time difference between two base stations is partitioned into a frame-level time difference and a chip-level time difference. Whenever requested to perform and report time difference measurements, the terminal measures the chip-level timing for each candidate base station relative to a reference base station. Additionally, the terminal also measures the frame-level timing and includes this information in the time difference measurement only if required. Otherwise, the terminal sets the frame-level part to a predetermined value (e.g., zero).
