摘要: There is provided an image forming apparatus capable of finely cleaning a transfer roll at all times by regulating the relation between a mechanical adhesion force of toner to the surface of the transfer roll and a mechanical adhesion force of toner to the surface of an image carrier with which the transfer roll comes in press contact. At the time of cleaning the transfer roll, both the electrostatic adhesion force and the mechanical adhesion force of charged colorant to the surface of the belt-like image carrier are set larger than the electrostatic adhesion force and the mechanical adhesion force of charged colorant to the surface of the transfer roll.

摘要: A fixing-unit roller has a fixing roller and/or a pressure roller in which a composite material of an organopolysiloxane and a fluoroelastomer containing no fluorine resin or containing a fluorine resin is used as an elastic material of at least the outermost layer. The composite material has an island-in-sea structure wherein the organopolysiloxane stands as a sea phase and the fluoroelastomer containing no fluorine resin or containing a fluorine resin stands as an island phase. The particles of the island phase have a size ranging from 1 &mgr;m to 10 &mgr;m. The fixing-unit roller has superior toner releasability and superior scratch resistance and wear resistance.

摘要: An elastic layer is formed stably of constant shape without cutting of surface thereof and without difficult processing to make an internal surface of hollow in a mold into an off-right-circular cylinder shape. A matrix 1 is produced by shaping a periphery of rod material into an inverted crown shape of off-right-circular cylinder. Annular reinforcements 2, 3 are fixed on the both ends of inverted crown portion of matrix 1. The matrix 1 with the reinforcements 2, 3 is dipped in an electrolytic solution 5a, so that a nickel alloy is deposited over a surface of matrix 1 by electroforming to obtain a mold 4. The mold 4 is cut outside the reinforcements 2, 3 and a hollow for dissolution removal is perforated along the axis of matrix 1. The mold 4 is dipped in a corrosive solution which can dissolve only the matrix 1, so that only the matrix 1 is dissolved to remove away from the mold 4. The remaining mold 4 will have a hollow of inverted crown therein. An elastic material is injected into the hollow of inverted crown of mold 4 to form an elastic layer on a periphery of mandrel, thereby obtaining an elastic roller of inverted crown.

摘要: A continuous method for the surface treatment of solid particles comprises feeding a powder mixture which consists of solid particles of a given substance and solid particles of another substance into one of a plurality of impact chambers in communication with one another and equipped with a rotating disc having impact pins and also with an impingement ring, subjecting the mixture to an impact striking action, separating an air stream produced by that action from the powder mixture and discharging it continuously from the impact chamber, repeating the impact action while allowing the powder mixture to reside temporarily in the impact chamber, and then causing the mixture to move, in succession, to the next chamber and so forth. An apparatus for the surface treatment comprises a plurality of rotating discs each fitted with a plurality of impact pins, a shaft on which the discs are fixedly mounted in spaced relationship, an impingement ring surrounding the discs to form an impact space, and partition plates disposed between the rotating discs to define a plurality of impact chambers, each partition plate being formed with a passageway close to the shaft to establish communication between the two adjacent impact chambers that it partitions.

摘要: A device for measuring a transmission velocity of a pulse wave includes sensors for sensing heart sounds, and pulse wave signals at upstream and downstream sides of a blood flow. Analog to digital conversion circuitry, coupled to the sensors, converts signals from the sensors from analog to digital form. A data processor, coupled to the analog to digital conversion circuitry processes data received from the analog to digital conversion circuitry. A display device, coupled to the data processor, displays waveforms and numerical data received from the data processor. The data processor includes seven processing units. A first processing unit, coupled to the analog to digital conversion circuitry, detects a first heart sound and generates a marker signal. Second and third processing units, coupled to the analog to digital conversion circuitry, transform digital signals received from the analog to digital conversion circuitry into data for display. A fourth processing unit, coupled to the first, second, and third processing units, detects the marker signal from the first processing unit and obtains predetermined data from the data received from the second and third processing units. A fifth processing unit, coupled to the second and third processing units, temporarily stores data received from the second and third processing units. A sixth processing unit, coupled to the fourth processing unit, determines a transmission time of a pulse wave to derive a transmission velocity of the pulse wave. A seventh processing unit, coupled to the sixth processing unit, transforms signals from the sixth processing unit for display.
