    摘要: The present invention relates to titanium oxide particles having an average particle size of not more than 0.3 .mu.m, and a BET specific surface area of 15 to 200 m.sup.2 /g, containing a soluble sodium salt of not more than 230 ppm, calculated as Na, and a soluble sulfate of not more than 150 ppm, calculated as SO.sub.4, and having a pH value of not less than 8. The titanium oxide particles of the present invention are suitable as non-magnetic particles for a non-magnetic undercoat layer of a magnetic recording medium which uses magnetic particles containing iron as a main ingredient, and even more particularly, are suitable as non-magnetic particles for a non-magnetic undercoat layer of a magnetic recording medium which uses magnetic particles containing iron as a main ingredient, show an excellent dispersibility in a binder resin, contain only a small amount of soluble sodium salt and soluble sulfate, and have a pH value of not less than 8.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a magnetic head suspension assembly, wherein a wiring member for connecting a magnetic head element with a read/write amplifier circuit board is integrally formed with the suspension which includes the steps of (1) forming a flexible insulating base material on one surface of a springy metal layer by using a non-photosensitive polyimide resin layer or a photosensitive insulating resin layer; (2) producing a circuit wiring pattern on the top of the flexible insulating base material by plating and by using an electrically conductive metal thin film; (3) for forming a surface protecting layer on the surface of the circuit wiring pattern; (4) the springy metal layer; and (5) bending the springy metal layer to form a desired suspension.

    摘要: A hollow extruding die for extruding a hollow section of a zinc-containing aluminum alloy is provided. The die is protected from cracks and has an extended life, without requiring any substantial structural changes to the die. In the die mandrel of the die a mandrel is connected by bridges with an outer cylindrical member. The bridges have a tapered projection facing toward the mandrel. A 3 mm thick coating composed of a nickel alloy is bonded on the surface of the projection by padding the welding material. Instead of coating the bridges, a covering can be attached to the surface of the bridges. To receive the covering, an engaging groove extends from the root of the mandrel and along the surface of the bridges to the outer cylindrical member of the die mandrel. The covering is composed of the same steel material as that of the die or of the nickel alloy. The covering has a through hole for receiving the mandrel formed on the base. At the opposite sides of the through hole, the covering has projecting portions that are disposed parallel to the mandrel and the covering is tapered along the bridges.
