摘要: An apparatus for the production of air gases with variable liquid production by the cryogenic separation of air can include a cold box having a heat exchanger, and a system of columns; a pressure monitoring device; and a controller. The cold box can be configured to receive a purified and compressed air stream under conditions effective for cryogenically separating the air stream to form an air gas product. The apparatus may also include means for transferring the air gas product from the cold box to an air gas pipeline. The pressure monitoring device is configured to monitor the pipeline pressure, and the controller is configured to adjust the product pressure of the air gas product coming out of the cold box based upon the pipeline pressure and to further adjust liquid production from the cold box based on the adjusted product pressure.

摘要: Process for heating via oxy-fuel combustion in which a stream of air is heated by means of at least one portion of the residual heat present in the fuel gases discharged from the combustion chamber, at least one portion of said hot air stream is introduced into an oxygen production unit in which a portion of the oxygen present in the hot air stream is extracted by means of one or more ITM, with a first stream of oxygen at high temperature being obtained, said first stream of oxygen is mixed with a second stream of oxygen so as to obtain a total stream of oxygen at a lower temperature than that of the first stream of oxygen, at least one portion of the total stream of oxygen being transported to the combustion chamber and used within as oxygen-rich oxidizer.

摘要: A burner for producing synthesis gas by partial oxidation of liquid or gaseous, carbon-containing fuels in the presence of an oxygen-containing oxidant and a moderator, which burner can be operated uncooled, i.e. without a fluid coolant being passed through the burner, is proposed. Steam or carbon dioxide or else mixtures of these materials are used as moderator. This is achieved by the feed channels being configured so that mixing of the fuel, the moderator and the oxidant occurs only outside the burner.

摘要: The invention relates to a control system which comprises: a plurality of flow valves on channels of reaction fluid, which are i) in a closed position or ii) in an open position; a plurality of control pipes connected to a source of control fluid and to a respective control pipe, all or part of the flow valves switching to the closed position when the pressure of the control fluid in the control pipe drops below a predetermined threshold; a discharge pipe connected to the control pipes, in order to discharge the control fluid from the control pipes; a safety device connected i) to each control pipe and ii) to the discharge pipe and configured to have, selectively: i) a service configuration, wherein the control fluid flows to each control pipe, thus opening each flow valve, and ii) a safety configuration, wherein the control fluid is discharged through the discharge pipe, thus closing each flow valve.

摘要: A plurality of extrudates comprises sorbent particles (at 50 wt %) in a polymeric matrix that comprises a polymer or blend of polymers including at least one thermoplastic polymer, the extrudates being produced by thermal-induced phase separation or diffusion-induced phase separation from a dope suspension of the thermoplastic polymer, an optional solvent and the sorbent particles. The polymer or blend of polymers is able to withstand exposure to temperatures at or above 220° C. without experiencing significant detrimental effects upon the sorbent capacity of the sorbent particles.

摘要: An improved hydrogen generation system and method for using the same are provided. The system includes an HDS unit configured to remove sulfur, a first and second pre-reformers configured to pre-reform a process gas and fuel gas, respectively, a first and second heat exchangers configured to dry and heat the pre-reformed fuel gas, respectively, and a reformer configured to produce a syngas and flue gas. The method includes using a process stream selected from the group consisting of air, PSA off-gas, hydrocarbon gas, and combinations thereof to dry the fuel gas and using a process stream selected from the group consisting of the flue gas, the syngas, and combinations thereof to heat the dry fuel gas. The second pre-reformer is a low-pressure pre-reformer, so that the heat contents of the fuel gas is increased through converting heavy hydrocarbons in the fuel gas to CO and H2 by the second pre-reformer.
