摘要: A control apparatus for support unit of vehicle, wherein a physical quantity which affects characteristics of a support unit for supporting a vehicle body such as a suspension or stabilizer and a state quantity which shows movement of the body or support unit are detected. The similarity corresponding to the detected physical quantity and state quantity is calculated using fuzzy logic, request indexes of comfort to ride and operation stability are calculated from the similarity. The request indexes are composed to obtain the center of gravity, so as to judge the most optimum characteristics of the support unit. This control apparatus automatically substantially analoguely judges whether either of the comfort to ride or the operation stability should be prioritized.

摘要: A suspension pressure control system applies a pressure which is proportional to a current level supplied to a solenoid of a pressure control valve to a shock absorber associated with a suspension from the valve. A height and a lateral acceleration of a car body as well as a steering angular velocity are detected. A deviation of the height from a target height is calculated. The suspension pressure is adjusted responding to the deviation and a change rate thereof. Also a correction value is calculated on the basis of the lateral acceleration for adjusting the suspension pressure responding to the correction value and a change rate thereof. Proportional coefficients for converting the change rate of the deviation and the change rate of the correction value to pressures to be corrected are corresponding to the steering angular velocity.

摘要: A suspension pressure control system applies a pressure which is proportional to a current level supplied to a solenoid of a pressure control valve to a shock absorber associated with a suspension from the valve through a cut valve, which cuts off a fluid path from the pressure control valve to the shock absorber when a line pressure is below a predetermined value and communicates the fluid path when the line pressure exceeds the predetermined value. An electronic controller controls the current level to maintain an attitude of a vehicle substantially constant in spite of any change of longitudinal and lateral acceleration, which are detected by acceleration sensors. In order to prevent an abrupt or abnormal change of the pressure of the shock absorber at an initiation of the pressure control of the controller when the vehicle is parking on a slope, the controller initiates the pressure control before the cut valve communicates the fluid path.

摘要: A road surface condition detecting and anti-skid controlling device in a car capable of detecting the road surface condition with high accuracy in a multiple-step manner, so that brake pressure control and attenuating capacity adjustment of shock absorbers as well as car level adjustment are more effectively executed. The invention is includes: car wheel speed and car speed detecting devices, a speed changing rate detecting device, memory, valve, calculating, integrating, and comparing devices, and a brake pressure control device. According to the invention, the road surface condition is detected with high accuracy and anti-skid control is more effectively executed by pertinent brake pressure control in response to the road condition so that a high degree of safety and reliability for the brake control in car can be obtained.

摘要: An anti-squat suspension control system includes an anti-squat control disabling means for disabling anti-squat control for a period while an engine idling condition detector switch is held closed or a given period after the engine idling condition detector switch is switched from closed position to open position. The system also includes fail detector means for monitoring operation of the engine idling condition detector switch to detect failure of the switch. When the failure of the engine idling condition detector switch is detected, the anti-squat disabling means is disabled.

摘要: In this system for vehicle roll control, a plurality of actuator assemblies are provided, one corresponding to each one of the vehicle wheels and resiliently suspending it from the vehicle body. These actuator assemblies have pressure chambers, and each is adapted to increase or decrease the vehicle height at a location corresponding to its corresponding vehicle wheel as respective results of supplying or discharging of working fluid to or from its pressure chamber. A plurality of working fluid supplying and discharging valves are provided corresponding to the actuator assemblies and serve to supply working fluid to the working fluid chambers and to discharge working fluid from the working fluid chambers. A vehicle speed detector senses the road speed of the vehicle, and a steering angle detector senses the steering angle of the vehicle. A control computer computes a steady state roll angle .phi..sub..infin. of the vehicle body from the vehicle speed sensed by the vehicle speed detector and the steering angle sensed by the steering angle detector, and computes a difference value .phi. based thereon, the control computer being adapted to control the working fluid supplying and discharging valves according to the difference value .phi. when the absolute value of the difference value .phi. is larger than a determinate value.

摘要: A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame includes at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping characteristic. The system also includes a controller coupled to each adjustable shock absorber to adjust the damping characteristic of each adjustable shock absorber, and a user interface coupled to the controller and accessible to a driver of the vehicle. The user interface includes at least one user input to permit manual adjustment of the damping characteristic of the at least one adjustable shock absorber during operation of the vehicle. Vehicle sensors are also be coupled to the controller to adjust the damping characteristic of the at least one adjustable shock absorber based vehicle conditions determined by sensor output signals.

摘要: A method for controlling vehicle motion is described. The method includes accessing a set of control signals including a measured vehicle speed value associated with a movement of a vehicle. A control signal associated with user-induced input is also accessed. The method compares the measured vehicle speed value with a predetermined vehicle speed threshold value to achieve a speed value threshold approach status, and then compares the set of values to achieve a user-induced input threshold value approach status. The method monitors a state of a valve within the vehicle suspension damper, and determines a control mode for the vehicle suspension damper. The method also regulates damping forces within the vehicle suspension damper.
