Abstract:
A trolley member for a garage door opener, comprises a trolley body (2), a connecting rod (7), a gear shaft (3) disposed on the trolley body (2), a rack (5) disposed on the trolley body (2), a gear (9) disposed on the gear shaft (3). The teeth of the gear (9) is engaged with the teeth of the rack (5). The rack (5) is connected to a spring device. The rack (5) has two working status. A first working status is that the rack (5) is inserted into a slot (10) of a chain link (8) and the spring member urges the rack (5) to the first working status, and a second working status is that the rack (5) is detached from the slot (10). The rack (5) is always urged to the first working status by the spring device, thereby the motor can reliably drives the chain and then the trolley member moving, and the chain can not be idling.
Abstract:
A device for opening and closing a pivotally mounted door leaf (2) or the like comprises an actuator, which is displaceably and/or rotatingly arranged in a housing (10) and connected to the door leaf and which, during displacement rotation, actuates said door leaf, and a drive motor (27) which is connected to the actuator for providing displacement/rotation thereof.
Abstract:
A linear actuator for gates, doors or similar has an actuator arm (1) which is articulated to a support (3) around a vertical axis (15) and be raisable angularly around a horizontal inclination axis (16). The actuator arm (1) has a screw (7) which is operated by an electric motor (11) and a running nutscrew (8) articulated to the gate wing (5) by means of a leadnut holder (18) in which the nutscrew (8) is housed in a manner turning around an axis horizontal and transversal to the actuator arm (1). The leadnut holder (18) has a vertical lower articulation pivot (20) which engages from above in a turning manner in a bush (22) fastened to the wing (5). In an emergency the actuator is disengaged from the gate wing (5) by raising the actuator arm (1) angularly around its inclination axis (16) and extracting upward the articulation pivot (20) of the leadnut holder (18) from the bush (22).
Abstract:
A passenger van is equipped with a drive mechanism for power operation of a slideable side door. The drive mechanism has an endless flexible drive member that travels in a closed loop which includes travel through a lower track that supports and guides a hinge and roller assembly that is attached to the lower front corner of the side door. A clutch is mounted on the hinge and roller assembly to clamp onto the flexible drive member for power operation. The clutch is released by an actuator that maintains the clutch disengaged until the clutch is automatically re-engaged when the side door is closed or opened completely.
Abstract:
A self-locking memory circuit for a tri state data bus having multiple bit lines. The circuit includes a non-inverting buffer chip for connection to each bit line and a resistor having a predetermined electrical resistance connected across the buffer chip. The chip and resistor provide a predetermined impedance to the flow of electrical current in the self-locking circuit. The circuit changes its state when the current of the latest information on a bit line builds or lowers above or below threshold levels of the self-locking circuit.
Abstract:
A passenger van is equipped with a drive mechanism for power operation of a slideable side door. The drive mechanism has a flexible drive member that travels in a closed loop which includes travel through a center track that supports and guides a hinge and roller assembly that is attached to the rear of the side door. The flexible drive member has a cogged portion that is driven by an electric motor to open and close the side door. The remaining portion is uncogged for economy o f manufacture and for releasing the flexible drive member from a clutch of the hinge and roller assembly to open the side door manually very easily. An electromagnetic clutch may also be included to reduce manual operating effort.
Abstract:
A sliding door mechanism controls a door 10 in the form of a series of horizontal slats articulated to the slats above and below to move from a closed position in a vertical plane, along between tracks 14, until open. The door is moved by cables winding on or off a cable drum 12 driven through a drive belt 16 by an electric motor 18. The motor is on a carriage mounted at 30 to allow the drive belt to be slackened to remove drive from the drum 12. Control circuits 20 for the apparatus are described.
Abstract:
A connection wire is connected to a part of a rear door popped up in a door-opening direction by an urging force. A pulley rotates responsive to a driving motor inside a wire-winding device to wind the connection wire thereon. In this manner, the rear door is automatically closed. The pulley is urged in a connection wire-winding direction by a power spring. A clutch is between the pulley and the driving motor. When the rear door is pressed by an operator's hands in a door-closing direction while the rear door is being closed, the pulley is rotated by the power spring, thus winding the connection wire thereon and preventing the connection wire from becoming loose. At this time, the connection between the pulley and the driving motor is cut off by the clutch. Thus, the pulley is rotated by the power spring freely and rapidly. In this manner, the rear door can be closed manually even while it is being closed automatically. Further, the connection wire can be prevented from becoming loose and from being sandwiched between the body of the vehicle and the periphery of a rear opening thereof.
Abstract:
A door and doorway construction includes a doorway structure having a lock jamb, a hinge jamb, and a header defining a doorway opening. An adjustable door is constructed to fit mateably into the doorway opening. The doorway structure includes an overhead expressway construction configured to structurally support a weight of the door and further adapted to carry utilities over the doorway opening. The doorway structure is vertically adjustable to align the expressway construction with adjacent wall units, which results in size changes in the doorway opening, and the door is adjustable to define an adjustable vertical height shaped to fill the doorway opening despite the size changes. In one form the door is pivoted to the doorway structure with hinges located above and below the door and at a centerline of the door. In another form, the door is slidably mounted to the doorway structure by a door-supporting boom that includes a trolley rollingly supported by the doorway structure and a downrigger that is rigidly supported on the trolley. The downrigger pivotally supports the door, and the trolley includes a breakaway latch such that the door can be broken away and pivoted outwardly if the door is pressed on with sufficient force. Additional illustrated door embodiments include a solid wood door and a floor-to-ceiling door that incorporate the above features.
Abstract:
A selectively engageable motor-drive assembly operable for moving a vehicle door or ramp to enable manual operation or motorized operation is provided, having a motor, a pulley drawing a cable attached to the door or ramp, a torque-multiplying arrangement positionable between a fully-engaged position and a partially-disengaged position, and an actuator mechanism for positioning the torque-multiplying arrangement in accordance with a selection of manual or motorized operation. The actuator mechanism may be actuated by a solenoid that is activated by an operator through a control unit. Also, a cam may be provided to define the movement of the actuator mechanism.
