    摘要: A multicylinder engine for a motorcycle includes a valve actuation mechanism having a hydraulically-operated valve pausing mechanism for holding at least one of an intake valve and an exhaust valve of selected cylinders in a suspended state. The valve actuation mechanism operates the intake valve and the exhaust valve, and controls flow of oil through an oil passage which introduces working oil to the valve pausing mechanism from a hydraulic-pressure control device. Air-bleeding holes are formed in the cylinder head. The air-bleeding holes are fluidly connected with portions of the oil passages that are located at a highest level in the oil passages while the motorcycle is parked in an inclined state with its side stand down.

    摘要: A valve timing control apparatus controls a valve timing of intake/exhaust valve of an engine. The apparatus includes a housing rotated with a driving shaft. The housing has a chamber house accommodating a vane rotor rotative with a driven shaft to retard and advance sides relative to the housing by being exerted with hydraulic pressure in retard and advance chambers in the chamber house. A filter is provided for removing foreign matters in a fluid passage extending from a slidable portion between the driven shaft and a bearing toward both the housing and the vane rotor through a connected portion between the driven shaft and the vane rotor. The filter is provided on the side of both the housing and the vane rotor with respect to the slidable portion.

    摘要: A device for electrically adjusting the relative rotation of two shafts, particularly a camshaft (15) in relation to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine is provided. The adjusting device includes an adjusting gear system which is embodied as a triple-shaft gear mechanism and is provided with a crankshaft-fixed input part, a camshaft-fixed output part, and an adjusting shaft (13) that is connected in a torsion-proof manner to an electric adjusting motor shaft (32) of an electric adjusting motor (3). The adjusting motor (3) is configured as a brushless DC motor having a housing-fixed stator (35) and a permanent magnet rotor (34). A high degree of adjustment accuracy and adjustment speed are provided with minimal space requirements and low power consumption. This is achieved through the use of a double eccentric gear mechanism (2) and a double planetary gear mechanism, which are provided with a speed reduction of up to about 1:250 and low friction, as an adjusting gear system while using a highly inductive permanent magnet rotor for the adjusting motor (3).

    摘要: A camshaft adjuster for motor vehicles has a stator and a rotor rotatable relative thereto between which pressure chambers are provided. Pressure medium is supplied in a controlled way via a valve to the pressure chambers in order to rotate the rotor relative to the stator. Mounting of the valve in the internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle is often difficult when mounting conditions are tight, sometimes even impossible. In order for the camshaft adjuster to be usable even in tight spatial conditions, the valve is arranged on the side facing away from the camshaft connection. The valve can therefore be arranged stationarily axially outside of the engine of the motor vehicle. The camshaft adjuster requires thus only little mounting space.
