Abstract: A transmission device for a planetary gear train multi-gear hybrid vehicle and a transmission method therefore are provided. An input end of an input shaft is connected to an engine, an output end of the input shaft is connected to a front-end motor through a first planetary gear train, and the input shaft is connected to an output shaft through a first clutch. The output shaft is connected to a third planetary gear train, the third planetary gear train is connected to a second clutch and a second planetary gear train, and the second clutch and the second planetary gear train are both connected to a third clutch. The second planetary gear train is connected to a rear-end motor.

Abstract: A compact and fast-shifting two-speed transmission for an electric drive system, such as an electric vehicle, has two synchronized dog clutches. A sliding sleeve for engaging a first and second gear is actuatable using a single actuator. A substantially load-interruption-free shifting is realized via a friction engagement in the synchronization. A drive system having such a two-speed transmission is capable of achieving at least substantially load-interruption-free shifting.

Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. A controller controls the shift actuator utilizing an actuating pulse and an opposing pulse.

Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift control circuit operates a shift actuator using a first opposing pulse command and a first actuating pulse command, and releases pressure with shift actuating and opposing volumes of the shift actuator upon determining a shift completion event.
