Abstract: According to one embodiment, a method for a wireless local area includes: generating a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (MPDU) to be transmitted to a target station; generating a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) by attaching a PLCP preamble to the MPDU; selecting a transmission channel; and transmitting the PPDU to the target station over the transmission channel. Selecting the transmission channel includes: performing clear channel assessment (CCA) on a first channel to determine whether the first channel is idle; and only after it is determined that the first channel is idle, selecting the first channel and at least one idle second channel as the transmission channel. The PLCP preamble includes channel allocation information indicating a bandwidth of the transmission channel.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method for multi-user transmission and reception in a wireless communication system and a device for same. More particularly, a method for performing multi-user (MU) transmission by a station (STA) device in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: generating a high efficiency-long training field (HE-LTF) sequence in a frequency domain in accordance with an MU transmission bandwidth; and transmitting a physical protocol data unit (PPDU) which comprises one or more symbols to which the HE-LTF sequence is mapped, wherein the HE-LTF sequence can be generated by multiplying one row of a P matrix to a length unit of a row of the P matrix in a predetermined sequence.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a method, an apparatus, and a system for joining a node to a network. The method includes: receiving an access indication that is sent by a joined node and that carries information about at least one joining node; broadcasting, according to the access indication, a MAP frame carrying the information about the at least one joining node, so that a joining node corresponding to the joining node information directly completes registration after receiving the MAP frame; and sending, by a DM, an authentication password to the joining node, so that the joining node completes authentication according to the authentication password and joins the network.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a frame supporting a short MAC header in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system are disclosed. A method for managing a sequence number in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system includes: transmitting, by a first station (STA), a frame including a short MAC header to a second STA. One of a receiver address (RA) field and a transmitter address (TA) field contained in the short MAC header includes an associated identifier (AID) value according to whether a transmission direction of the frame is an uplink (UL) or downlink (DL) direction, and if the RA field includes the AID value, the sequence number for the frame is assigned based on a station (STA) MAC address identified by the AID value.

An apparatus for generating broadcast signal frame according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a combiner configured to generate a multiplexed signal by combining a core layer signal and an enhanced layer signal at different power levels; a power normalizer configured to reduce the power of the multiplexed signal to a power level corresponding to the core layer signal; a time interleaver configured to generate a time-interleaved signal by performing interleaving that is applied to both the core layer signal and the enhanced layer signal; and a frame builder configured to generate a broadcast signal frame including a preamble for signaling time interleaver information shared by the core layer signal and the enhanced layer signal, using the time-interleaved signal.

Abstract: Techniques for providing closed-loop control and predictive analytics in packet-optical networks are described. For example, an integrated, centralized controller provides tightly-integrated, closed-loop control over switching and routing services and the underling optical transport system of a communication network. In one implementation, the controller includes an analytics engine that applies predictable analytics to real-time status information received from a monitoring subsystem distributed throughout the underlying optical transport system. Responsive to the status information, the analytics engine applies rules to adaptively and proactively identify current or predicted topology-changing events and, responsive to those events, maps reroutes packet flows through a routing/switching network and control and, based on any updated bandwidth requirements due to topology changes, dynamically adjusts allocation and utilization of the optical spectrum and wavelengths within the underlying optical transport system.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for LWA uplink routing. In one novel aspect, signaling of an address from the eNB to the UE to enable the UE to populate Address-3 of the MAC header to enable layer-2 forwarding of uplink LWA PDUs from the WLAN AP to an appropriate network entity that implements part or the whole WT functionalities. In one embodiment, the network entity is a WT node, or the eNB or a node aggregating multiple connections to a WT node. In one embodiment, the RRC signaling is used to send the WT node MAC address where the RRC signaling message is a PDCP-Config message or a WLAN-MobilityConfig message. In one embodiment, multiple WT nodes are connected with the WLAN AP. The eNB selects one WT node or the UE selects one WT node to populate the address-3 of the MAC header.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided herein for enabling a D2D bearer to stay alive even in an instance in which a D2D connection is lost. In some example embodiments, a method is provided that comprises detecting a condition that indicates that a device-to-device bearer is to be terminated. The method of this embodiment may also include modifying a cellular bearer protocol data unit header, such that the cellular bearer protocol data unit header indicates that a cellular bearer service data unit is a device-to-device protocol data unit. The method of this embodiment may also include causing one or more device-to-device protocol data units to be encapsulated within one or more cellular bearer protocol data units, such that the one or more device-to-device protocol data units are transmitted via a cellular bearer.
