Abstract: An optical measurement system includes a wearable device configured to be worn on a body of a user and a position alignment system. The wearable device includes a support assembly and a wearable assembly supported by the support assembly. The wearable assembly includes a plurality of light sources configured to emit a plurality of light pulses toward a target within the body of the user and a plurality of detectors each configured to receive a set of photons included in a light pulse included in the plurality of light pulses after the set of photons is scattered by the target. The position alignment system is configured to facilitate positioning of the wearable assembly at a same position on the body of the user during different use sessions of the wearable device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an interaction method using eye tracking data, used in human-computer interface system with at least a screen configured to display at least user contents and eye tracking device to collect eye tracking data. The method comprising following steps: displaying selection keys on the screen, when there is a selecting interaction control signal of the user reflecting that the user intends to automatically change user contents being displayed on the screen; defining a selection key which the user wants to input based on at least the eye tracking data when the user inputs the selection key by eye gaze; automatically changing the user contents in a predefined changing manner corresponding to the selection key inputted by the eye gaze of the user, wherein said predefined changing manner selected from a group including at least scroll down, scroll up, scroll right, scroll left, zoom in, zoom out, turn the pages, move the pages, and insert new contents.

Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking the position of a head-mounted display (HMD) system component. The HMD component may carry a plurality of angle sensitive detectors that are able to detect the angle of light emitted from a light source. The HMD component may include one or more scatter detectors that detect whether light has been scattered or reflected, so such light can be ignored. Control circuitry causes light sources to emit light according a specified pattern, and receives sensor data from the plurality of angle sensitive detectors. The processor may process the sensor data and scatter detector data, for example using machine learning or other techniques, to track a position of the HMD component. An angle sensitive detector may include a spatially-varying polarizer having a position-varying polarizing pattern and one or more polarizer layers that together are operative to detect the angle of impinging light.

Abstract: An optical method for identifying locations of objects in a plane, including serially projecting light beams along a detection area, from a plurality of locations along an edge of the detection area, whereby a reflective object inserted into the detection area reflects the projected light beams, directing the reflections of the projected light beams arriving at the edge of the detection area onto a plurality of light detectors, in a manner that maximizes amounts of reflected light arriving at the detectors when the light arrives at a particular angle in relation to the edge, and calculating two-dimensional coordinates of the inserted object in the detection area based on the particular angle and the outputs of the detectors.
