A rare earth sintered magnet employing the alloy flakes is also disclosed.

The n-type MIS transistor includes a first gate insulating film, a first fully silicided (FUSI) gate electrode formed on the first gate insulating film and made of a first metal silicide film, and a first sidewall insulating film. The p-type MIS transistor includes a second gate insulating film, a second fully silicided (FUSI) gate electrode formed on the second gate insulating film and made of a second metal silicide film, and a second sidewall insulating film. A top surface of the first FUSI gate electrode is located lower than a top surface of the second FUSI gate electrode.

摘要： Hierarchical storage management is performed using a primary storage device and a secondary storage device. A suppression process unit suppresses the data operation requested by another device if data requested to read by the device is not stored in the primary device. A block size setting process unit sets the data size of a block, based on the size of the data requested to read when storing the data in the primary device in units of blocks. A data writing process unit writes data read from the secondary device into the primary device one and after in units of the blocks whose data size is set if the data requested to read is not stored in the primary device. A release process unit releases the suppression of data operation of only already written data one and after every time the data is written into the primary device.

摘要： A television apparatus having a liquid crystal display includes a signal processing portion for reproducing a received video signal, a liquid crystal cell for displaying a video reproduced by the signal processing portion, backlight light sources arranged on a back surface side of the liquid crystal cell for illuminating the liquid crystal cell, drivers for driving the liquid crystal cell, and an inverter for driving the backlight light sources. A transmittance of the liquid crystal cell can be increased because low color-purity cells having a color purity in a range of 40% to 60% is used as the liquid crystal cell. Also, reduction in a color reproductivity of the video caused due to the low color purity can be avoided because a color correcting circuit is provided to the signal processing portion to execute color correcting process on the video signal.

摘要： An automatic white balance adjustment system including a color signal reproduction circuit having a white balance adjustment section, a picture tube drive circuit, a picture tube, a cathode voltage detection circuit, a storage circuit, and a control circuit. The cathode voltage detection circuit detects a cathode voltage applied to a red cathode electrode, a cathode voltage applied to a green cathode electrode, and a cathode voltage applied to a blue cathode electrode of the picture tube. In the storage circuit, there are stored in advance comparison reference values set for the RGB primary color signals in order to control the RGB primary color signals so as to achieve a white balance in a given ratio. When detection pulses of predetermined IRE values corresponding to the respective RGB primary color signals are output from the picture tube drive circuit, the control circuit reads the red cathode voltage, the green cathode voltage, and the blue cathode voltage, all being detected by the cathode voltage detection circuit. Then, the control circuit compares the thus-read detection voltages with the corresponding comparison reference values stored in the storage circuit so as to correspond to the respective RGB primary color signals, to thereby control the white balance adjustment section of the color signal reproduction circuit such that the detected voltages coincide with the comparison reference values.
