摘要: A switchable connection for a plurality of unit batteries for an electric vehicle. The unit batteries are normally connected in series through battery switches. When an impact sensor attached to a vehicle body detects an impact, a controller changes the battery switches to have a connecting state in which the unit batteries are separated into several groups.

摘要: A current collector for a secondary battery (1) of the present invention includes a resin layer (2) having electrical conductivity, and an ion barrier layer (3) provided on the surface of the resin layer (2). The ion barrier layer (3) contains ion trapping particles (6) in which metal compounds (5) are provided on the surfaces of metal containing particles (4). The ion trapping particles (6) are continuously provided from an interface (7) between the resin layer (2) and the ion barrier layer (3) toward a surface (3a) of the ion barrier layer (3). Thus, the ion barrier layer (3) prevents from the entry of ions, so that the ion adsorption in the current collector (1) can be decreased.

摘要: A flat transformer has a coil body. The coil body is formed by winding plural insulated conductive wires. Each of the plural insulated conductive wires has a conductor having a circular shaped cross-section, and an outer peripheral portion of the conductor is coated by an insulating coating. A part of plural insulated conductive wires is used to form a primary winding and the remainder of the plural insulated conductive wires is used to form a secondary winding. A flat transformer may also have plural coil bodies. The plural coil bodies may be wound at plural stages. A part of the plural coil bodies is may be used to form a primary winding and the remainder of plural coil bodies may be used to form a secondary winding. The flat transformer can operate stably at a high frequency with a small loss.

摘要: An electric vehicle driven by a motor is provided with a secondary battery and a generator which are controlled by a controller so that when an amount of charge of the secondary battery becomes lower than a predetermined value of the generator is put from a stopping state into an operating state and so that when the amount of charge of the secondary battery becomes higher than another predetermined value the generator is put from the operating state into the stopping state. The controller changes the predetermined values in accordance with the changing rate of the electric energy consumption of the secondary battery so that the secondary battery loses it amount of charge after the generator becomes empty of its fuel. The electric vehicle can fully perform its characteristic and the generator is effectively operated by storing excessive electric energy of the generator and effectively using the secondary battery.

摘要: A bipolar battery includes: a power generation element formed by stacking a plurality of bipolar electrodes, in which an electrode layer is formed on a front and a rear of a collector, via an electrolyte layer; an elastic metal portion provided in contact with the power generation element so as to contact the power generation element in point or line contact when no external force is exerted thereon and contact the power generation element in surface contact when external force is exerted thereon; and an outer covering material provided to accommodate the power generation element and the elastic metal portion, an internal air pressure of which is set to be lower than an atmospheric pressure such that the elastic metal portion is caused to contact the power generation element in surface contact by a pressure difference between the internal air pressure and the atmospheric pressure.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a battery is provided including the step of locating a plurality of unit cells in a support body having an opening portion. A plurality of jigs each having a convex portion and a bore are mounted at the support body so as to cause the convex portion to be fit into the opening portion of the support body. A spacing between the support body and the plurality of the unit cells is filled with a plastic resin by charging the plastic resin into the spacing between the support body and the plurality of unit cells through the bore of one jig of the plurality of jigs, while releasing air inside the support body through the bore of another jig of the plurality of jigs that is opposite to the one jig.

摘要: A portable-type disk apparatus for a 3.5-inch or less optical disk implemented in a thin, light-weight and miniaturized structure having a vibration-withstanding capability. An optical head assembly is disposed stationarily while an optical disk and a spindle motor for rotating the optical disk are disposed movably in a diametrical direction of the optical disk. The spindle motor is constituted by a brushless motor of a substantially semi-circular form in cross section and having a laterally truncated portion. The optical head assembly including an optical head and a laser circuit is disposed at the side of the laterally truncated portion.
