    摘要: A double precision multiplyer for performing the multiplication of two double precision data using a 2's complement single precision multiplier. The 2n-1 bit double precision data is divided into one single precision data formed by taking the upper n bits of the double precision data and another single precision data formed by adding a "0" bit before the most significant bit of the remaining n-1 bits of the double precision data. Apparatus for performing the double precision multiplication thereby eliminates the necessity of discriminating the sign bit and enhances the speed of the double precision multiplication.

    摘要: An arithmetic processing unit executes a first operation to adjust a scale of an exponent part of one data to that of the other data, a second operation to arithmetically calculate the mantissa parts of the two data according to a desired arithmetic operation, and a third operation to correct the exponent part according to the result of the calculation. The arithmetic unit includes an incrementer to increase the exponent part by +1 in parallel with the calculating operation without respect to an overflow resulting from said calculating operation, and a selector to select the output of the incrementer according to the result of the calculation. Therefore, these three operations can be performed at a high speed in only two cycles.

    摘要: A capping apparatus includes a turn table which is supported to be rotatable and provided with a plurality of container holders for temporarily holding the containers securely, a plurality of cap holders for releasably holding caps to be screwed onto the mouth portion of the containers, a plurality of torque motors individually provided for rotating the corresponding cap holders and a microcomputer for controlling the level of torque applied to the cap holders by the torque motors. The torque applied to the cap holder during the screwing operation is set to be higher in level during the first revolution of the cap and lower in level during the remaining rotation of the cap than the torque applied upon completion of the screwing operation so that the caps can be screwed onto the threaded mouth portions of the containers all at the same tightening level.

    摘要: A process for producing a granular detergent composition containing a surface active agent, a zeolite, an alkali metal silicate, and other detergent builder is described. This granular detergent composition is produced by either (1)(a) preparing an aqueous slurry containing, as a dispersing medium, the surface active agent;(b) bubbling a gas into the aqueous slurry to form a slurry containing bubbles having an average bubble diameter of 40 through 100 microns and having a specific gravity of 0.7 through 0.9;(c) mixing the resultant aqueous slurry with the zeolite, the alkali metal silicate, and the other builders to form a detergent slurry; and(d) spray drying the detergent slurry to form the granular detergent composition or (2)(a) preparing a detergent slurry containing the surface active agent, the zeolite, the alkali metal silicate, and/or other detergent builders;(b) passing the detergent slurry through a centrifugal pump, while a gas is bubbled into the detergent slurry, whereby the detergent slurry containing bubbles having an average diameter of 40 through 100 microns and having a specific gravity of 0.7 through 0.9 is formed; and(c) spray drying the detergent slurry to form the granular detergent composition.

    摘要: A new and unique valve actuating cam shaft driving system for rotating a cam shaft to actuate suction and exhaust valves of an internal combustion engine, which comprises a driving gear on a crankshaft, a shock absorbing gear assembly rotatably mounted on an intermediate shaft and a plurality of power transmission gears, said shock absorbing gear assembly including two gears, one of them meshing with the driving gear while the other one meshing with one of the power transmission gears. The shock absorbing gear assembly has a shock absorbing member incorporated therein for preventing any vibration or shock from being transmitted to the valve actuating cam shaft. Further, one of the power transmission gears which is rotatably mounted on the cam shaft has a shock absorbing member incorporated therein in the same manner as that in the shock absorbing gear assembly. The shock absorbing member is press fitted into a space as defined by a pair of coaxially arranged inner and outer rings and its inner and outer circumferences are fixedly secured to the rings by way of a suitable thermal treatment.
