    Abstract: A video signal processing method includes: dividing a current frame which is to be processed into a plurality of blocks which are predetermined rectangular blocks; calculating, for each of the plurality of blocks divided into in the dividing, a feature quantity relating to luminance of pixels in the block; calculating first correction data, based on a feature quantity calculated from each of first blocks located above a first horizontal boundary in the current frame and a feature quantity calculated from each of one or more blocks located below a first horizontal boundary in a previous frame which has been processed immediately before the current frame; and correcting luminance of pixels in each of the first blocks in the current frame, based on the first correction data calculated in the calculating.

    Abstract: An organic EL display panel including: a substrate; display elements over the substrate; a first sealing layer over the display elements; a buffer layer covering the first sealing layer; and a second sealing layer covering the buffer layer. The first sealing layer, the buffer layer, and the second sealing layer are each made of a silicon nitride film, and a peak amount of ammonia gas desorbing from the silicon nitride film of the buffer layer within a predetermined temperature range is greater than one hundred times and smaller than one thousand times a peak amount of ammonia gas desorbing from each of the silicon nitride film of the first sealing layer and the silicon nitride film of the second sealing layer within the predetermined temperature range.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a display panel in which a plurality of pixels are arranged, each of the plurality of pixels including an organic EL element and a wire, the method comprising: stacking a light-emitting layer included in the organic EL element and a drive circuit layer included in the wire; and irradiating a predetermined area of the wire having a short-circuit point with a femtosecond laser from the back surface, the laser not passing through the light-emitting layer, the irradiating including: reducing a beam diameter to be approximately a wire width, and irradiating the predetermined area with the femtosecond laser; and reducing the beam diameter to be less than the beam diameter in the reducing the beam diameter, and irradiating corners of the predetermined area to disconnect the wire at the predetermined area.

    Abstract: An organic light-emitting device having light-emitting portions arranged in two directions along a substrate main surface. Each light-emitting portion, in a first direction intersecting the substrate main surface, includes, disposed via a first insulating layer, a first electrode, an organic laminate, and a second electrode. In a second direction being one of the two directions along the substrate main surface, a non-light-emitting portion is present between adjacent light-emitting portions. The first electrodes of the adjacent light-emitting portions extend into the non-light-emitting portion. A second insulating layer is present between portions of the first electrodes in the non-light-emitting portion, and covers the portions of the first electrodes in the non-light-emitting portion. A height of the second insulating layer from the substrate main surface is lower than a height, from the substrate main surface, of upper surfaces of portions of the first electrodes in the light-emitting portions.

    Abstract: Organic light-emitting device including light-emitting portions disposed in two intersecting directions along a substrate main surface. Each light-emitting portion, in a first direction intersecting the substrate main surface, includes first and second electrodes, a charge transport layer, and an organic light-emitting layer, and is partitioned from adjacent light-emitting portions by first banks extending in a third direction being one of the two directions and second banks extending in a second direction being the other of the two directions. Each area between adjacent first banks is covered by the charge transport and organic light-emitting layers extending continuously across the area over the second banks. The first and second banks contain insulating material, a thickness of the second banks is no greater than 20% a height of the first banks, and the second banks have a surface portion contact angle smaller than that of the first banks.
