    Abstract: A system described herein may output, during a particular time window (e.g., in a simulation environment), a series of wireless transmissions to one or more User Equipment (“UEs”) of a particular type. The series of wireless transmissions may include first set of transmissions associated with a first set of parameters and a second set of transmissions associated with a second set of parameters. The system may receive channel quality measurements from the one or more UEs, and may identify a measure of variance between the channel quality measurements from the one or more UEs. The system may generate a reliability score associated with the particular type of UE based on the identified measure of variance, and may output, to a wireless network, the reliability score associated with the particular type of UE. The wireless network may communicate with UEs of the particular type based on the reliability score.

    Abstract: A base station may include a processor configured to configure a default time period for periodic service requests for discontinuous reception (DRX) for user equipment (UE) devices serviced by the base station. The processor may be further configured to obtain a signal quality value for a UE device serviced by the base station; determine that the obtained signal quality value is less than a low signal quality threshold; and configure a longer time period for the periodic service requests for DRX for the UE device, in response to determining that the obtained signal quality value is less than the low signal quality threshold.

    Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for allocation and/or preemption of radio access network (“RAN”) resources in a wireless network based on Quality of Service (“QoS”)-related metrics associated with User Equipment (“UEs”) that are connected to, and/or are requesting connection to, a RAN. QoS-related metrics may include a network slice, a QoS Flow Identifier (“QFI”), other suitable metrics. A Slice-Based Priority (“SBP”) determine one or more priority (e.g., SBP) values for UEs connected to the one or more RANs, and/or for UEs requesting connection to such RANs. In addition to QoS-related metrics priority values may be determined based on RAN-related metrics, such as Allocation and Retention Priority (“ARP”) values associated with a UE. RANs may accordingly be able to allocate resources, accept or deny connection requests, and/or perform preemption based at least partly on slice-related QoS metrics, thus preserving end-to-end QoS parameters.

    Abstract: A Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) device receives first parameters associated with a user device from a first radio access network (RAN) device. The MEC device performs functions associated with an application being executed by the user device and the MEC device is co-located with the RAN device. The MEC device receives second parameters associated with the user device from a core network device. The MEC device modifies performance of the functions based on the received first and second parameters and provides third parameters associated with the user device to a second RAN device that is co-located with the MEC device for adjusting performance of a network.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) device may include a processor configured to obtain a configuration specification for at least one discontinuous transmission parameter, wherein the configuration specification includes different values for at least two different Quality of Service (QoS) classes. The processor may be further configured to detect uplink data that is to be sent by the UE device to a device via a base station; determine a QoS class associated with the uplink data; select a value for the at least one discontinuous transmission parameter based on the configuration specification and the determined QoS class associated with the uplink data; and send the uplink data to the base station based on the selected value for the at least one discontinuous transmission parameter.
