Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel thiourea derivatives as a modulator for vanilloid receptor (VR) and the pharmaceutical compositions containing the same. As diseases associated with the activity of vanilloid receptor, pain acute pain, chronic pain, neuropathic pain, post-operative pain, migraine, arthralgia, neuropathies, nerve injury, diabetic neuropathy, neurodegeneration, neurotic skin disorder, stroke, urinary bladder hypersensitiveness, irritable bowel syndrome, a respiratory disorder such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, irritation of skin, eye or mucous membrane, fervescence, stomach-duodenal ulcer, inflammatory bowel disease and inflammatory diseases can be enumerated. The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of these diseases.
Abstract:
A method of effectively compressing a test vector is introduced for testing a system-on-chip (SOC) semiconductor device. Since the number of test vectors is increased in a SOC, the number of ‘0’s is increased if adjacent test vectors are properly aligned using an ordering algorithm. ‘0000’ is considered as a single block and a counter of ‘0-group’ is incremented by one to encode each further instance of the string ‘0000’. A codeword capable of being decompressed can be generated using only a counter without using a memory block.
Abstract:
An offtracking control system for a vehicle/trailer combination that properly steers the rear wheels of the vehicle to control the hitch angle between the vehicle and the trailer to prevent trailer offtracking. The control system generates a desired hitch angle and a time delay between the front wheels of the vehicle and the rear wheels of the trailer. A delay unit generates a hitch angle command from the desired hitch angle and the time delay. The hitch angle command is subtracted from a measured hitch angle to generate a hitch angle error signal. The hitch angle error signal is sent to a feedback controller that generates a closed-loop rear-wheel steering signal. The closed-loop rear-wheel steering signal is added to an open-loop rear-wheel steering signal to generate a rear-wheel steering command signal that prevents trailer offtracking.

A pixel which may prevent the voltage of a floating diffusion region of the pixel from being outside a desired or predetermined driving voltage range by adjusting the equivalent capacitance of the floating diffusion region may be provided. The pixel may include a photodiode which may convert light energy into photocarriers, a transfer transistor which may transfer the photocarriers accumulated in the photodiode to a floating diffusion region, a select transistor which may transmit a data signal to the exterior in response to a selection control signal, the transmitted data signal having a voltage which may vary according to the voltage of the floating diffusion region, and/or at least one capacitor which may be connected between the floating diffusion region and the select transistor and which may adjust the equivalent capacitance of the floating diffusion region.

Disclosed is a solder bonding structure for flip chip connection. Particularly, this invention relates to a solder bonding structure, in which the shape of a connection pad on which solder is applied is changed to thus increase the size of the solder bond that is formed using a reflow process, resulting in highly reliable solder bonding. To this end, the solder bonding structure is composed of a connection pad (a bridge type pattern) composed of at least two pattern regions spaced apart from each other by a predetermined interval, a solder bond formed on the connection pad having such a shape, and a metal bump in contact with the solder bond. In such a solder bonding structure, the solder bond is formed to a sufficient size on a fine pattern having a smaller width, thus achieving reliable solder bonding between the semiconductor chip having the metal bump and the printed circuit board having the connection pad. Further, since the connection pad may be realized through a typical formation process thereof without the need for an additional process, the reliability of the solder bonding may be sufficiently assured without an increase in the working man-hours or in the number of processes.

An integrated circuit is provided that includes a substrate, a p-type field effect transistor, a compressive nitride layer, n-type field effect transistor, a tensile nitride layer, and a mask. The compressive nitride layer induces a first compressive stress in a channel region of the p-type field effect transistor. The tensile nitride layer induces a tensile stress in a channel region of the n-type field effect transistor. The mask is defined over an exposed gate conductor of the n-type field effect transistor. The p-type field effect transistor includes a gate conductor having a metal silicide layer with a volume sufficient to induce a second compressive stress in the channel region of the p-type field effect transistor.
Abstract:
A vehicle lateral control system that integrates both vehicle dynamics and kinematics control. The system includes a driver interpreter that provides desired vehicle dynamics and predicted vehicle path based on driver input. Error signals between the desired vehicle dynamics and measured vehicle dynamics, and between the predicted vehicle path and the measured vehicle target path are sent to dynamics and kinematics control processors for generating a separate dynamics and kinematics command signals, respectively, to minimize the errors. The command signals are integrated by a control integration processor to combine the commands to optimize the performance of stabilizing the vehicle and tracking the path. The integrated command signal can be used to control one or more of front wheel assist steering, rear-wheel assist steering or differential braking.

The optical recording and playback apparatus includes a main body having an entrance, a deck mounted in the main body and having a spindle motor and an optical pickup unit, a tray mounted at the main body such that the tray is inserted into or ejected from the main body through the entrance, a loading unit to insert or eject the tray into or from the main body, and a safety door mounted at the entrance to close the entrance after the tray is inserted into the main body, the safety door being opened and closed according to the operation of the loading unit.

The present invention relates to a method for making a package structure having recession portion on the surface thereof. The method comprises: (a) providing a lead frame having a plurality of package units, each package unit having a plurality of leads and a die paddle; (b) providing an upper mold and a lower mold for clamping the lead frame, wherein the upper mold and the protruding block of the lower mold clamp the first portions of the leads so as to prevent molding compound bleeding to the upper surfaces of the first portions during mold filling operation, for improving the product yield; (c) injecting a molding compound between the upper mold and the lower mold, and forming a plurality of accommodation spaces; (d) attaching a plurality of chips onto the die paddles; (e) electrically connecting the chips to the first portions of the leads; (f) sealing the accommodation spaces; and (g) segregating the package units.
