Abstract:
Provided is a training device capable of executing a plurality of operation modes, in which an operation rod is appropriately operated according to an operation mode. The training device includes the operation rod, a plurality of motors, a plurality of force detection units, and a plurality of first command calculation units. The operation rod allows a limb to move. The plurality of motors operate the operation rod in the direction of degree of freedom in which the operation rod can move. Each of the force detection units detects a corresponding force component and outputs a force component signal. The first command calculation units are connected to the corresponding force detection units. Each of the first command calculation units calculates a first motor control command on the basis of the corresponding force component signal.
Abstract:
An ultra-thin massaging core includes a housing having two supporting bases, and a kneading massage mechanism including a kneading rotary shaft, a kneading drive device and two partial pendulum type kneading massage members. Ends of the kneading rotary shaft are mounted on the supporting bases. The kneading massage members are close to the ends of the kneading rotary shaft. The kneading drive device includes a kneading motor and a kneading speed reducer. A recessed accommodation space is formed between the supporting bases. The kneading motor is provided on the accommodation space. The kneading rotary shaft is located above the kneading motor, and the two are perpendicularly staggered. A first output end of an output shaft of the kneading motor is connected with the kneading rotary shaft through the kneading speed reducer in a transmission mode. The kneading speed reducer has a U-shaped transmission structure and is small in size.
Abstract:
A facial massage device configured to be positioned on a human face may include a plurality of layers. An intermediate portion may be disposed between an outer cover and an inner liner. The intermediate portion may include a plurality of individually actuatable massage elements. In some cases, the individually actuatable massage elements may be pneumatically actuated. In other cases, the individually actuatable massage elements may be mechanically actuated. The facial massage device may further include a control module configured to actuate the plurality of individually actuatable massage elements.
Abstract:
A massaging garment is provided that may be useful for the treatment of lymphedema or other conditions where massaging a limb is desired. In one embodiment, the massaging garment comprises a sheet of flexible material and a plurality of electrically actuable fibers that are incorporated with the sheet of flexible material. The electrically actuable fibers are spaced apart from each other, and each electrically actuable fiber is actuable to contract when actuated with electricity. The garment also comprises a control module connected to each of the electrically actuable fibers to selectively provide electricity to each electrically actuable fiber to cause each fiber, when selected, to contract. A method of massaging a limb with a garment, and a method of producing a garment are also provided. A method of producing an electrically actuable material is also provided.
Abstract:
A handcart (includes a main body unit, a pair of main wheels provided to the main body unit, a grip unit that is provided to the main body unit and gripped by a user, a grip switch that detects whether the user is gripping the grip unit, a tilt angle sensor, a camera, an acceleration sensor, or other devices that detect the state of the cart body, and a wheel lock mechanism that locks the main wheels if the grip switch does not detect user's gripping of the grip unit and if the cart body is in a predetermined state, for example, if it is detected by the acceleration sensor or other devices that the cart body is moving. This configuration provides a handcart that locks the wheels without necessarily compromising usability.
Abstract:
A stretching device that enables a user to employ the mechanical advantage of a multi-pulley system while performing various, prolonged muscle stretches; the stretching device including a first anchor assembly, a second anchor assembly, and a motion transfer line. The first motion transfer line has a first anchor body and a first motion transfer pulley; the first anchor body being attached to the user and the first motion transfer pulley being coupled to the first anchor body. Similarly, the second motion transfer line has a second anchor body and a second motion transfer pulley; the second anchor body being attached to a stationary object and the second motion transfer pulley being coupled to the second anchor body. The motion transfer line is terminally attached to the first anchor body and is trained around both the first motion transfer pulley and the second motion transfer pulley.
Abstract:
An upper limb training apparatus includes a training apparatus main body that includes a base frame, and an operation rod to be operated by a trainee by hand. A chair is positioned in a right or in a left arm training position relative to the training apparatus main body. A monitor stand extends upward from the base frame. A monitor arm is provided in the monitor stand, and supports the monitor such that the position of the monitor can be adjusted in both right and left directions.
Abstract:
A vibrating and massaging bed includes a supporting base member having one or more spring biasing members for supporting a follower, an actuating device disposed in the supporting base member and connected to the follower for vibrating the follower relative to the supporting base member, a sliding member slidably engaged in the follower and a table supported on the sliding member, and another actuating device coupled to the sliding member for moving the sliding member and the table relative to the follower. A further actuating device is engaged in the sliding member and includes an actuating rod extendible out of the sliding member for tilting the table relative to the sliding member and the follower.
Abstract:
A manual apparatus of the present invention enables quick connection and disconnection of an exoskeleton leg from a remaining body of an exoskeleton. The apparatus comprises a cavity defined by a housing coupled to the remaining body of the exoskeleton; a latch coupled to the remaining body of the exoskeleton, the latch comprising a latching feature; a clip body including a projection element extending from an end thereof, the clip body coupled to the exoskeleton leg; a handle rotatably coupled to a clip base on the clip body; and a hook rotatably coupled to the handle. When the hook is engaged with the latching feature and the handle rotated from a first unlatched position to a second latched position, the projection element moves inside the cavity.
