Abstract:
Flame retardant adhesive are described. The flame retardant adhesives include at least 93 wt. % an acrylic copolymer. This acrylic copolymer comprises the polymerization reaction product of 50 to 92 wt. % of at least one alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer, 3 to 25 wt. % of at least one nitrogen-containing monomer, and 5 to 25 wt. % of at least one vinyl-functional poly(methacrylate) macromer. Articles incorporating such adhesive are also described.
Abstract:
The aim of the invention is to effectively protect a flat adhesive compound from permeates originating from the surroundings as well as from permeates trapped during lamination, winding, stacking or other processing steps. For this purpose, the adhesive tape comprises at least the following layers in the indicated order: a first outer adhesive compound layer A, a layer B, which contains at least one inorganic getter material, and a second outer adhesive compound layer C. The invention also relates to the use of said adhesive tape as an encapsulation material.
Abstract:
A device to semi-permanently attach suction cup mounts that previously lost functionality is provided. Further, the device provides attachment without marring a mounting surface, or substrate. The present invention consists of a thin barrier preferably metal foil of circular shape with a pressure sensitive adhesive on one side. An additional adhesive is provided to apply between the barrier assembly and a suction cup. This structural barrier assembly provides a cost effective way to make use of nonfunctioning suction cup mounts or mounted devices without replacing the mount or device.
Abstract:
Adhesives may include a base polymer composition, optionally a tackifying resin, optionally a wax, and optionally additives (e.g., plasticizers, fillers, antioxidants, and the like, and combinations thereof), where the base polymer comprises a highly plasticized cellulose ester and optionally polymers traditionally used in pressure sensitive adhesives, hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives, or hot melt adhesives (e.g., ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers, polysiloxanes, and polyurethanes).
Abstract:
This invention generally relates to a painter's masking tape that covers well and is easy to tear in a straight edge without the use of scissors or other mechanical means. The tape comprises perforated portions that allow for the easy tearing of the tape. The bottom surface of the tape has an adhesive layer that is easily removed from the surface of the object to be protected. The non-adhesive portion is coated with an impervious coating to prevent the seepage of the paint or other liquid through the tape and onto the protected surface. The perforated portions of the tape are also made impervious to liquids by either being covered with an impervious coating, film, or tape pieces.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a heavy-release force release film having surface microviscosity and a preparation method thereof A release layer of the release film comprises: by mass, 10 to 25 parts of vinyl silicone oil, 0.5 to 5 parts of a cross-linking agent, 15 to 40 parts of silicon resin, 25 to 60 parts of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, 1 to 6 parts of a curing agent, and 30 to 60 parts of a diluent. The preparation method comprises: removing water, static electricity, dust and foreign matters on a surface of a substrate; uniformly stirring vinyl silicone oil, the cross-linking agent, the pressure-sensitive adhesive, silicon resin and the diluent according to the above mass part ratio; adding the curing agent into the mixture and stirring; coating the release agent on a processed surface of the substrate, drying and carrying out rolling-up.
Abstract:
Multilayer laminates are described which include one or more layers or regions of printed images or graphics captured under an outer adhesive layer. The laminates include two layers of a release coating applied to opposite faces of a support layer. Also described are systems and methods for applying wound rolls of the multilayer laminates to a collection of articles.
Abstract:
A protective film includes an adhesive layer containing a first synthetic resin, and a non-adhesive layer containing a second synthetic resin and micro-beads made of a polymer, the micro-beads being distributed in the second synthetic resin. The adhesive layer and the non-adhesive layer are laminated on each other.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a multi-layer adhesive film including a heat curable adhesive film and a first tacky adhesive composition disposed on the first major surface of the heat curable adhesive film. The heat curable adhesive film includes a surface-deactivated solid isocyanate and a polyurethane that includes functional groups that are reactive with isocyanate. A method of making an article that includes the multi-layer adhesive film and article made thereby are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet and anti-fouling treatment method capable of preventing peeling from overlapping portions when adjacent anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheets are attached by allowing end portions thereof to overlap each other. The anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet of the present invention includes a base material layer; a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on one side of the base material layer; and an anti-fouling layer provided on another side of the base material layer, wherein the anti-fouling pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet has, at an end portion thereof, a bonding margin including parts of the base material layer and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, the parts extending beyond the anti-fouling layer.
