    摘要: An internal boss can have an outer side surface shaped to match the bored opening of the Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) pipe, an inner side surface shaped to align with an interior pipe surface of the sanitary Tee or Wye fitting component, and an internal face surface of the boss extending between the side surfaces and shaped to align with an interior pipe surface of the DWV pipe when welded thereto. Snap-fit wings can hold the interior face surface of the sanitary Tee or Wye fitting component against an exterior face surface of the DWV pipe while the fitting component and DWV pipe are homogeneously weldable into a single DWV fitting using a solvent mixture including a common plastic material. Related methods and single homogeneous fittings are also provided.

    摘要: A tool for use in fusing an outlet fitting in the side wall of a plastic pipe has a base with three perpendicular guide rods. A movable plate is reciprocated on the guide rods in response to manual operation of a rack-and-pinion. The movable plate has a hole oriented to align a drill adapter and an outlet fitting adapter which are interchangeably inserted into the hole on an axis extending through a predetermined point on the longitudinal axis of the pipe. A retractable ratchet strap tightly girts the pipe to secure the tool against the pipe. The ratchet strap assures that the tool always maintains its original orientation on the pipe and the hole assures that interchanged drill and outlet fitting adapters are always returned to their original orientation in the tool. Therefore, the outlet fitting is always fused in its proper orientation in the pipe.

    摘要: A piping connection structure which assigns a function to restrict a pipe body from coming off to a member other than a resin tube, improves in sealing performance and can suppress the amount of fuel permeation. A resin tube comprises a tube body portion; a first diameter-expanding portion formed to increase in diameter from an axial end of the tube body portion and axially positioning seal members by holding the seal members in an axial gap with a retainer; and a second diameter-expanding portion formed to further increase in diameter from the first diameter-expanding portion, and to contact an outer circumferential side of the seal members and be connected to the retainer while in contact with the retainer. Thickness of the first diameter-expanding portion is equal to or greater than thickness of the tube body portion.

    摘要: A connection of two pipes each including a liner. Liner sections connected to the liners are sections joined together forming a joint of the liner sections. An electrofusion coupling may overlie the joint of the liner sections and be used to fuse the joint. A collar may be positioned to overlie the joint of the liner sections. A bushing may be positioned between the joint of the liner sections and the collar. Hubs may be connected to the ends of the pipes. The liner sections and hubs may include corresponding structure which resists movement of the liner sections away from the joint of the liner sections. A connection of two pipes each including a liner may be formed according to disclosed methods.

    摘要: A portable assembly for securing a plastic fitting to a plastic pipe by employing fusion or thermal sealing is disclosed. The assembly is secured to the outer circumference of a plastic pipe at a desired location. The assembly can be secured at any longitudinal and lateral position along a plastic pipe. A heater heats both the pipe and the fitting to the point where they begin to melt. The heater is then removed and the fitting is pressed onto the surface of the pipe, thus fusing the fitting to the pipe. After cooling, the assembly is removed and the surface of the pipe within the interior of the fitting is drilled or removed. This now enables fluid within the pipe to be sent to the fitting and onto distribution lines which are connected to the fitting.
