    Abstract: A fixing structure according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is a fixing structure including a first object and a second object that are fixed to each other with an adhesive. The first object has a first adhesive face in contact with the adhesive. The second object has a second adhesive face that faces the first adhesive face, and an extended face that is provided on at least a part of an entire periphery surrounding the adhesive about an axis perpendicular to the second adhesive face and extends in a direction parallel to the axis perpendicular to the second adhesive face. The adhesive is in contact with the second adhesive face of the second object, whereas not in contact with the extended face.

    Abstract: A contact lens includes a lens body and an embedded module. The lens body has an optical portion and an annular wearing portion that surrounds the optical portion. The embedded module includes a pre-mold body being made of an eye-friendly material and a circuit structure that is embedded in the pre-mold body. The pre-mold body is entirely embedded in the annular wearing portion of the lens body, and the pre-mold body is ring-shaped and surrounds an outside of the optical portion. The pre-mold body and the lens body are gaplessly connected to each other so as to jointly form a connection interface therebetween that is spaced apart from a rear surface and a front surface of the lens body. Surfaces of the circuit structure are partially flush with an outer surface of the pre-mold body, and are connected to the annular wearing portion.

    Abstract: The invention is generally related to a method for producing, in a relatively efficient and consistent manner, embedded or hybrid silicone hydrogel contact lenses, and also to unprocessed embedded or hybrid silicone hydrogel contact lenses, according to conventional cast-molding technologies. A method of the invention involve use of a polymeric non-reactive diluent in preparing a polymerizable composition for forming the silicone hydrogel material of the unprocessed embedded or hybrid silicone hydrogel contact lens, which is cast-molded with a lens mold. The unprocessed cast-molded embedded or hybrid silicone hydrogel contact lens has no or a minimal water-swelling degree, so that lens distortion or delamination during the hydration of the unprocessed embedded or hybrid silicone hydrogel contact lens.

    Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a contact lens comprising a disclosed lubricious surface layer. In a further aspect, the lubricious surface layer comprises a polyacrylamide, e.g., a poly(N,N-dimethylacrylamide. In various aspects, the lubricious surface layer is formed at the surface of a contact lens. In a further aspect, the lens can be a hydrogel lens. In a further aspect, the lens can be a silicone hydrogel lens. The present disclosure also pertains to methods of forming the disclosed lubricious surface layers on a surface of a contact lens.
