Abstract: Adhesive compositions, articles, and methods are described. The electronic may comprise: i) a conductive metallic substrate; ii) an insulating resin layer; and iii) and an adhesive layer disposed between the substrate and insulating resin layer. The adhesive layer comprises at least 50 wt. % of polyimide resin comprising maleimide moieties; and at least 0.25 wt. % of an amine compound. In some embodiments, the conductive metallic substrate comprises copper, such as copper traces.

Abstract: A hyperbranched polymer comprising a reaction product of a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst and components a) and b), which combined contain 15 to 60 percent by weight of aromatic carbon atoms. Component a) is at least one first organosilane independently having p vinyl groups and consisting of C, H, Si, and optionally O atoms, wherein each p is independently an integer greater than or equal to 2. A curable composition comprises the hyperbranched polymer and a crosslinker system. Abstract: Curable ink compositions include a curable aromatic monomer composition, and surface treated metal oxide nanoparticles. The surface treated metal oxide nanoparticles are surface treated with a mixture of at least two silane-functional surface treatment agents, at least one aromatic-containing silane-functional surface treatment agent and at least one silane-functional surface treatment agent comprising a co-polymerizable group. The curable ink composition is inkjet printable, having a viscosity of 30 centipoise or less at a temperature of from room temperature to 60° C., and is free from solvents. The curable ink composition, when printed and cured, has a refractive index of 1.55 or greater, and is optically clear.

Abstract: An article (e.g. film, tape or pipe) is described comprising a microstructured surface. Also described is a method of making such articles. Also described is a triblock copolymer comprising a poly(alkylene oxide) midblock and hydrocarbon end blocks; and compositions comprising a thermoplastic polymer and un to 50 wt. % of the block copolymer.

Abstract: Layers of siloxane tackifying resins that do not contain siloxane fluids, gums or polymers act as adhesion promotion agents. Articles include a substrate layer, a non-tacky siloxane tackifying resin adhesion promotion layer disposed on the surface of the substrate layer, and a crosslinked siloxane layer in contact with the adhesion promotion layer. The crosslinked siloxane layer is not an adhesive layer. The adhesion of the crosslinked siloxane layer to the substrate is greater than the adhesion without the non-tacky siloxane tackifying adhesion promotion layer.
