According to one embodiment, a quantum information system includes a source of time dependent entangled photons and an indicating unit. The indicating unit indicates the entangled state of the entangled photons based on the emission time of one or more of the entangled photons.

A method and apparatus for transferring identity information for temporary use by a wireless device, visiting a foreign operator network, is provided. A user is presented, at a kiosk, with an opportunity to download a temporary identity which is recognized by the operator network as belonging to a local subscriber, and the user may make a request for service. In response to the user-generated request for service, local identity information is transferred to the wireless device for use thereby. The transfer is short-range wireless communication from the kiosk to the wireless device. The temporary identity, once installed on the wireless device, makes the wireless device appear as a local subscriber. Upon termination of use, the temporary identity is returned to a pool and usable for another wireless device.

Methods and systems are provided for using a hybrid-distribution system to identify relevant documents based on a search query. A group of documents is assigned to a particular segment. The group of documents is indexed both by atom and by document to form a reverse index and a forward index. Both indexes are divided amongst each node in that segment so that each node is responsible for storing and accessing a different portion of both the reverse and forward indexes. The reverse index portion is accessed on each of a first set of nodes to identify a first set of documents that is relevant to a particular search query. Document identifications associated with the first set of documents are used to identify a second set of nodes that access their forward index portions to limit the number of relevant documents to a second set of documents.

The multiple message states may include all messages being read, all messages being unread, a most recently received message being unread while others are read, and a most recently received message being read while order messages are unread.

A large format stacking tray in an image production device is disclosed. The large format stacking tray may include a tray body of a first length that may be attachable to a stacker device in a finishing module of the image production device, and a tray top surface located on top of the tray body on which a media stack containing one or more media sheets rests upon after being output by the image production device. The tray top surface has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The tray top surface may be sloped between the first end and the second end in a manner that permits media sheets that are longer than the first length to be output and stacked onto the stacker device.
