A place estimation apparatus performs a place estimation process by using position-invariant feature values extracted by a feature value extraction unit. The feature value extraction unit includes local feature value extraction unit that extracts local feature values from each of input images formed from successively-shot successive images, feature value matching unit that obtains matching between successive input images based on the extracted local feature values, corresponding feature value selection unit that selects matched feature values as corresponding feature values, and position-invariant feature value extraction unit that obtains position-invariant feature values based on the corresponding feature values. The position-invariant feature value extraction unit extracts, from among the corresponding feature values, corresponding feature values whose position change is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold as the position-invariant feature values.

Disclosed are methods for detecting a target nucleic acid in a sample. The methods include contacting said sample, in the presence of a polymerase and an endonuclease, with a sequence conversion oligonucleotide. Also disclosed are methods for detecting a target nucleic acid in a sample in which said sample is contacted, in the presence of a polymerase and an endonuclease, with a sequence conversion oligonucleotide and a signal amplifier oligonucleotide. The disclosure also provides compositions and kits comprising such sequence conversion and signal amplifier oligonucleotides.

Accordingly, application to a field that requires a high suspension processing performance or a high flow rate process is difficult. In order to achieve the high suspension processing performance, a design of adopting a long and large oscillator and the like is required. The display apparatus includes: a processor configured to process image data of image contents; a display configured to display the image data processed by the processor as an image; a user interface configured to sense a reaction of a user to the image displayed by the display; and a controller configured to determine a preference of the user for the image contents based on the reaction sensed by the user interface. The controller is configured to determine the preference based on an accumulated value of each reaction among a plurality of kinds of reactions generated while the image is displayed and a weight set up corresponding to the reaction. To improve the stability of numerical calculation for finding a continuous phase of a pair of signal sequences, provided is a signal processing device (10) wherein a spline calculation unit (13) approximates a pair of signal sequences acquired by a signal acquisition unit (11) by spline functions, and an unwrapping processing unit (18) performs phase unwrapping using polynomials. The phase unwrapping is performed according to a procedure where a polynomial-sequence calculation unit (15) calculates a polynomial sequence by applying a Euclidean algorithm to the polynomials of the spline functions, a sign counting unit (17) checks the number of changes of the sign of a numerical sequence formed by arranging the values of the polynomial sequence in each subinterval where the phase is found, and an unwrapping processing unit (18) determines an indefinite portion that is an integral multiple of π on the basis of the number of changes.
