Abstract: Provided are a system for implementing multiple Radio Access Networks (RANs) convergence and a method thereof. The method includes: an anchor RAN establishes a connection with a User Equipment (UE); the anchor receives a RAB establishment request from a Core Network (CN); the anchor RAN selects an auxiliary RAN; the anchor RAN sends quality of service (QoS) parameters to the auxiliary RAN, so that the auxiliary RAN establishes a connection with the UE according to the QoS parameters, while the anchor RAN keep the connection with the UE. With the methods provided in embodiments for the present disclosure, multiple RANs convergence is implemented, and the UE establishes connections with the anchor RAN and the auxiliary RAN at the same time, so as to improve the peak rate of the UE.

Abstract: A user equipment obtains configuration information used to detect a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value of a signal on an unlicensed frequency, samples the signal on the unlicensed frequency at a sampling interval included in the configuration information to obtain RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency sampled at sampling moments. The user equipment determines statistics on the RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency within a statistical window, obtains an RSSI value statistical result of the signal on the unlicensed frequency based on the statistics, and reports the RSSI value statistical result to a base station.

Abstract: The present invention provides an uplink reference signal sending method, and the method includes: sending, by a terminal device, an uplink reference signal on N1 second component carriers within a determined uplink reference signal sending time, and prohibiting, on M1 first component carriers in M first component carriers within the sending time, the terminal device from sending an uplink signal, where the first component carriers are carriers on which scheduling of uplink data transmission is allowed, and the second component carriers are carriers on which scheduling of uplink data transmission is prohibited. N1=M1, in other words, within the sending time, a quantity N1 of second component carriers on which the uplink reference signal is sent is less than or equal to a quantity M1 of first component carriers on which sending of the uplink signal is prohibited.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and a communications apparatus. A terminal in an inactive state receives a paging message, and content in the paging message is determined. When the content includes a first identity of the terminal, the terminal sends a first request message to a first access network device, where the first request message carries a non-access stratum (NAS) identifier of the terminal. Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a mobility management method, user equipment, and a base station. The mobility management method may include: receiving, by user equipment UE in a connected mode, a source identifier of the UE from a first base station, where the source identifier is used to uniquely identify the UE in the first base station; entering, by the UE, a low-overhead state in the case that a low-overhead activation condition is satisfied, where in the low-overhead state, the UE stores a connection context of the UE in the connected mode, and camps on a cell according to a cell reselection criterion during movement; and reporting, by the UE when a first preset condition is satisfied, the source identifier to a second base station to which a second cell belongs, where the second cell is a serving cell on which the UE currently camps.
