摘要: A line changeover device for an endoscope, which changes over a line which is arranged in the endoscope, is arranged such that it comprises a cylinder and a piston which is fitted and inserted into the cylinder in a retractable manner, a seal member which is abutted against the cylinder for retaining at least one of water tightness and gas tightness with respect to the cylinder is fixedly provided on an outer periphery of the piston, and a strength reinforcement is provided on at least a part between an outer periphery of said seal member and an inner periphery thereof. The water tightness and the gas tightness within the cylinder are retained or held, and a sliding resistance of the piston is kept appropriately or adequately without the use of lubricating oil. Sliding ability between the cylinder and the piston at the time of operation is improved. Operability can be made fine or satisfactory.

摘要: A suspension control system employs a road sensor monitoring road roughness or smoothness and producing a road condition indicative signal. The control system also employs other sensor or sensors for monitoring at least one preselected suspension control parameter, such as vehicle speed, steering angular variation and so forth, other than road roughness. The suspension switches between relatively hard and relatively soft characteristics based on the preselected suspension control prameters. In order to make suspension control more precisely suited to the vehicle driving conditions, the control characateristics of the suspension system are adjusted depending upon the road condition. With this arrangement, even when the suspension is controlled so as to suppress vehicular roll based on the steering angular displacement and when rough road conditions cause steering angular displacement due to kick-back from the road input through the steering mechanism, the erroneous judgement that steering adjustments are about to cause vehicular roll can be avoided. In case of acceleration responsive suspension control, rough road conditions tend to cause a driver to unconsciously operate the accelerator pedal so as to increase and decrease throttle valve angular position relative to the fully closed position. According to the present invention, by adjusting the control characteristics, erroneous detection that the vehicle is accelerating, which would normally cause winding-up, can be successfully avoided.

摘要: A swing-arm type suspension having a suspension arm for suspending a road wheel on a vehicle body. A lateral link is also provided for restricting yawing movement of the suspension arm and thereby for restricting toe-angle change. The suspension arm is connected to the vehicle body by bifurcated legs via elastic bushings. The suspension arm is adapted to roll in response to rolling movement about a camber axis to change camber. The actual camber axis of the suspension arm is so arranged as to reduce toe-out change in accordance with the rolling movement of the suspension arm to cause positive camber.

摘要: A method of steering a wheeled vehicle having a first pair of steerable road wheels to be steered by human intervention and a second pair of steerable road wheels to be steered in response to a steering effort applied to the first pair of steerable road wheels, wherein the ratio between the angle through which the first pair of steerable road wheels is steered and the angle through which the second pair of steerable road wheels is to be steered is varied to establish a predetermined functional relationship between the ratio and a detected vehicle speed so as to eliminate the lateral slip of the vehicle when the vehicle is making a turn.

摘要: Conductive caps are respectively put on both ends of an insulating cylindrical member and a pair of cup-shaped contactors are disposed in the insulating cylindrical member in a manner to be movable relative to each other. A repulsive force is provided by a pair of biasing elements located between the pair of cup-shaped contactors through a fusible member to electrically interconnect the conductive caps. When the fusible member is fused at a predetermined temperature, the biasing force of one of the biasing elements weakens and the biasing force of the other biasing element increases to move the pair of cup-shaped contactors toward each other, thereby to electrically disconnect the conductive caps from each other.
