摘要： A control apparatus that promptly increases the displacement of a compressor after the compressor is started while liquefied refrigerant is lingering in an external circuit. The control apparatus includes a restricting passage. The restricting passage is located in a first pressure introduction passage, through which the pressure of the first pressure monitoring point flows to the control valve. The restricting passage decreases the pressure of refrigerant that flows through the passage. When the compressor is started while liquefied refrigerant is lingering in the external circuit and the pressure of the first pressure monitoring point is abruptly increased, the restricting passage reduces the increase of the pressure that is detected by the control valve. Therefore, the displacement of the compressor is promptly increased.

摘要： When an electric appliance unit functions as an electric motor, a rotary shaft is rotated by electric current supplied to the electric appliance unit. When the electric appliance unit functions as a generator, the generator generates electricity as the rotary shaft rotates. A first rotation permitting mechanism is located between the rotor and the rotary shaft to permit the rotor and the rotary shaft to rotate relative to each other. A one-way clutch is located between the rotor and the rotary shaft. The one-way clutch permits the rotary shaft to rotate in one direction relative to the rotor and prevents the rotary shaft from rotating in the other direction relative to the rotor. A second rotation permitting mechanism is located between the housing and the rotor. The second rotation permitting mechanism permits the rotor to rotate relative to the housing. Power transmitted from the external drive source to the rotor is transmitted to the rotary shaft via the one-way clutch. The rotor is supported by the housing with the second rotation permitting mechanism.

摘要： A variable displacement compressor has a crank chamber defined in a housing. A drive shaft is arranged in the housing. A piston is accommodated in the cylinder bore. A swash plate is connected to the piston to convert a rotation of the drive shaft. A retainer surface is arranged in the housing and extends substantially perpendicular to the axis of the drive shaft. A restricting mechanism is arranged between the swash plate and the retainer surface. The restricting mechanism receives the swash plate and restricts movement of the swash plate when the inclination of the swash plate decreases.

The compounds are selectively absorbed by cancer cells or similar growths in the human or animal body and can be used to bring about distruction of the unwanted growth an irradiation with light of wavelength 600 nm to 1000 nm. The invention also provides a method for the treatment of the human or animal body which comprises administering the compound to a human or animal and irradiating a locus in said animal where the compound is absorbed in order to kill cells at that locus. It further comprises the use of the aforesaid compound for the making of a medicament for use in the treatment of cancer in humans and animals.

摘要： A bacterium strain JM1 (FERM BP-5352) capable of degrading organic compounds without inducers is disclosed. Further, methods for degrading organic compounds and remedying an environment using the bacterium strain are also disclosed. The microorganism is brought into contact with the environment under conditions which stimulates the organism to degrade the organic compounds and thus, remedying the environment of pollutants. A kit and method for selectively detecting the strain expressing oxygenase from a sample containing strain J1 FERM BP-5102 is also disclosed. The latter strain expresses oxygenase when induced, however, strain JM1 FERM BP-5352 does not require induction. In addition, a process for obtaining strain JM1 FERM BP-5352 is also disclosed.
