    Abstract: A hot melt adhesive supply system is disclosed. The hot melt adhesive supply system includes an outer container defining an upper cavity and a lower cavity. The upper cavity includes an inner container having a top opening to receive unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces and a bottom aperture. The system also includes a dispensing mechanism between the upper cavity and the lower cavity. The dispensing mechanism regulates the dispensing of the unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces from the upper cavity to the lower cavity. The dispensing mechanism includes a base plate and one or more rotating members that rotate to move the unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces through a gap defined between the base plate and the bottom aperture. The system also includes a transfer conduit that communicates the unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces from the lower cavity to a hot melt adhesive melter.

    Abstract: A valve arrangement for applying fluid media, in particular glue, to surfaces, comprising a plurality of individual modules detachably connected to form a row, wherein in the row and between the adjacent individual modules is respectively formed a dividing plane, in which the respectively adjacent individual modules bear one against another, and at least one dividing plane is assigned a heating member for warming the valve arrangement, preferably a plurality of or all dividing planes are respectively assigned a heating member, which is seated in appropriate, mutually opposing receptacles, arranged to both sides of the dividing plane, of the two adjacent individual modules, and cooperates in such a way with those walls of the individual modules which delimit the receptacles that relative movements of the two individual modules in at least one spatial direction are limited or prevented.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a melter, comprising a block (2) having a detachable shell (6), in which there is housed a melting chamber (3) provided with an upper opening that is closed with a hinged and detachable lid (11), the chamber (3) being arranged on lower supports (7), with the freedom to expand upwards, the opening of said chamber (3) incorporating a gasket (8) having an upwardly inclined flexible lip in the outer part on which the shell (6) rests, establishing sealed closure with respect to the chamber (3), whereas on the gasket (8) there is arranged a frame (9) having an upward vertical flange, with respect to which the lid (11) that closes on the gasket (8) is assembled, such that when the chamber (3) expands due to the temperature, the flexible lip allows the expansion maintaining leak-tightness.

    Abstract: A method of supplying adhesive particulates from a supply container to an adhesive melter includes fluidly coupling an adhesive transfer structure between the adhesive melter and the supply container, lowering an internal surface temperature of the adhesive transfer structure by directing cooling air through the adhesive transfer structure, and moving the adhesive particulates from the supply container into the adhesive melter for melting the adhesive particulates into a fluid adhesive after lowering the internal surface temperature of the adhesive transfer structure. A hot melt adhesive system includes a supply container for storing adhesive particulate, an adhesive melter, an adhesive transfer structure coupled to the supply container and the adhesive melter for transferring cooling air and adhesive particulate toward the adhesive melter, and a control configured to transfer the cooling air through the adhesive transfer structure before the adhesive particulate is transferred toward the adhesive melter.
