    摘要: A continuously variable transmission includes a driving side pulley and a driven side pulley each having a fixed pulley part and having a movable pulley part supported for movement toward and away from the fixed pulley part, the width of a groove between the pulley parts of each pulley being increased and decreased to increase the decrease at each pulley the rotating radius of a belt wound around both of the pulleys to change a belt ratio. A revolution controller for the transmission limits the rate of change of a target number of revolutions for an engine driving the transmission to a rate limit lower than a prescribed rate when the target number of revolutions of the engine specified by a speed change schedule map based on a throttle opening and a vehicle speed is changed during travel of the vehicle.

    摘要: A balancer, attachable via its attaching portion to a rotatable body, and rotatable together therewith about its rotation axis, includes: weights of same mass and shape; and a weight holder with storage chambers for housing the weights, respectively, such that the weights can oscillate in arbitrary directions. The weight is shaped similar to and smaller than the chamber. The chamber is a cylindrical space extending alongside its central axis; and has concave curved ends perpendicular to the central axis. Midpoints of the central axes of the chambers are contact points on a circumference of a circle having the rotation axis as its center and being on an arbitrary plane perpendicular to the rotation axis; and are positioned so that they create a rotational symmetry around the rotation axis. The balancer can correct dynamic imbalance in rotatable bodies, such as machine tools, at both low-speeds and high-speeds of rotation.

    摘要: An optical fiber is provided which has good laser beam condensation efficiency and is highly resilient, and a shockwave generating device employing same. An optical fiber is employed in an underwater shockwave generating device which projects a laser beam underwater and generates an underwater shockwave. The optical fiber includes a main body part, and a laser convergence part that is disposed upon a leading end thereof. The laser convergence part is configured so as to exhibit an approximately frustum shape wherein the diameter of the leading end is narrower than the diameter of the base end, and such that an interior angle with respect to a radial direction of a lateral face of an axial cross-section gradually decreases toward the front thereof.

    摘要: Provided is a 2-cyanoacrylate-purifying method for decoloring a 2-cyanoacrylate which has been colored, and preventing further coloring of the 2-cyanoacrylate thus decolored. The 2-cyanoacrylate-purifying method includes the steps of: (a) adding a specific polyhydric aromatic compound to the 2-cyanoacrylate which has been colored; and (b) storing, at a temperature in a range of 0° C. to 40° C. for 0.5 day or more, the resulting mixture obtained in the step (a), and then subjecting the mixture to reduced pressure distillation.
