Adhesive compositions are made from methacrylate ester monomers, elastomeric polymers having a Tg below -25.degree. C. and which are soluble in the monomers, core-shell polymers which swell in the monomers but do not dissolve therein, and free radical producing catalysts. These adhesive compositions when used in bonded assemblies exhibit a combination of high adhesive bond impact strength and high bulk tensile elongation.

A photocurable adhesive which comprises:(a) a polyurethene poly(meth)acrylate having a polyurethane structure which contains .alpha., .alpha., .alpha.', .alpha.'-tetramethylxylylenediisocyanate as a main polyisocyanate component; and(b) an adhesive coupling agent in an amount of 0.05-10 parts by weight in relation to 100 parts by weight of the polyurethene poly(meth)acrylate.A process of producing a laminated film is also disclosed which comprises: coating the photocurable adhesive on a first substate; laminating the first substrate to a second substrate; and applying ultraviolet ray or radiant ray to the resultant laminated film.

An adhesive composition useful for bonding various substrates which contain an alkoxy silane compound and an unsaturated acid compound. A preferred embodiment of the invention is an aqueous formulation containing a low molecular weight alkoxy silane compound, a low molecular weight unsaturated acid compound, and water. An example of the alkoxy silane compound is aminopropyl triethoxysilane while an example of the unsaturated acid compound is methacrylic acid. The adhesive composition is particularly effective in bonding non-sulfurcured elastomeric materials such as polyol- and peroxide-cured elastomers to metal surfaces.

The current invention provides a photopolymerized pressure-sensitive adhesive which adheres well to all common surfaces and has an outstanding ability to bond to plasticized vinyl substrates and to remain firmly bonded thereto even after the in contact therewith for extended periods of time comprising the photopolymerization reaction product of a mixture containing about: 60-95 parts of alkyl acrylate; 5-40 parts monoethylenically unsaturated polar copolymerizable monomer; 10-30 parts ethylene vinylacetate copolymer containing about 40% to 70% vinylacetate; and 0.1-1 part photoinitiator.

C. and a K value of from 20 to 80, derivatives of dihydroxypropyl (meth)acrylates as reactive diluents and small amounts of polymerizable tertiary amino compounds by a process in which the mixture is heated at from 80.degree. to 120.degree. C. for not more than 2 hours and solvents are then separated off under atmospheric or reduced pressure.
