Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a high-resolution precipitation compensation system and method. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to a high-resolution precipitation compensation system and method in which reanalysis data are input as initial data to a high-resolution quantitative precipitation model (QPM), then weights are respectively applied to precipitation data derived from the QPM, radar echo precipitation data and satellite precipitation data, thereby to obtain resulting compensated precipitation data. According to the present disclosure, the reanalysis data is applied as initial data to the high-resolution quantitative precipitation model to obtain precipitation data with a resolution of 0.1 to 1.0 km and a relatively small error for the target region.

An apparatus for discriminating bacteria types using optical scattering patterns is disclosed. The apparatus includes an optical fiber for transferring light emitted from a light source, a lens for controlling a width of the light received from the optical fiber, a linear polarizer for transmitting the light passing through the lens and a bacterial colony, and a capturing unit for capturing an optical scattering pattern of the light transmitted through the linear polarizer.

An antimicrobial composition containing a ginseng extract and a green tea extract, an antimicrobial filter, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided, which maximize antimicrobial and antiviral effects and exhibit antimicrobial and antiviral effects using a single filter, thus advantageously having little pressure loss and enabling production at low cost in comparison to the related art, which uses two filers.

There is provided a new use of a hydroxydihydrobovolide compound having effects on preventing hair loss and growing hairs. Since the hydroxydihydrobovolide compound has effects on increasing survival rates of human hair follicle dermal papilla cells and hair outer root sheath cells and also growing a length of hairs, the compound is of great value as a pharmaceutical composition or cosmetic composition for improving scalp or preventing hair loss. Further, since the hydroxydihydrobovolide compound is isolated and purified from Eucheuma cottonii that is red algae and does not induce cytotoxicity, it is stable in the body and thus can be used as a raw material for functional health food.

The apparatus for cleaning an oxide film formed on a workpiece may include a power supply configured to apply direct current power and to include a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal, the workpiece configured to be electrically connected to the negative electrode terminal to act as a negative electrode to which a current is applied, and a torch having a positive electrode, which is spaced apart from the oxide film by a predetermined distance and is electrically connected to the positive electrode terminal, the torch being installed to be movable relative to the workpiece. The oxide film formed on the workpiece may be removed by applying a reverse polarity direct current between the workpiece, serving as the negative electrode, and the positive electrode to generate an arc.
