Abstract: A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground-engaging members, a frame, a powertrain assembly, a front suspension assembly, and a rear suspension assembly. A cargo bed may be supported by the frame at the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle also includes an operator seat and at least one passenger seat positioned within an operator area. In one embodiment, the vehicle includes doors to enclose the operator area.

Abstract: A center take off rack and pinion steering system is disclosed having a rack housing which houses a rack gear having first and second ends extending through the housing. A pinion gear is coupled to the rack gear to input steering power to the rack gear. A rack yoke is coupled to, and extends between, the first and second ends of the rack gear. A yoke support is coupled to the rack housing and a yoke support slider is coupled to the rack yoke and is movable with the rack yoke relative to the yoke support. Tie rod end mounts are supported by the rack yoke, the tie rod end mounts positioned laterally intermediate the first and second ends of the rack gear.

Abstract: A system and method for operating an engine comprises an engine speed sensor generating an engine speed signal, a throttle position sensor generating a throttle position signal, a sensor module comprising at least one of a fuel pressure sensor generating a fuel pressure signal corresponding to a fuel pressure and a fuel temperature sensor generating a fuel temperature signal corresponding to a fuel temperature into the engine. A controller is coupled to the fuel injector, the engine speed sensor and the sensor module. The controller determines a pulse width duration for the fuel injector based on engine speed and throttle position, determining a pulse width correction factor as a function of at least one of the fuel temperature signal and the fuel pressure signal, determining a second pulse width duration based on the first pulse width, and operating the fuel injector with the second pulse width duration.

Abstract: An engine is disclosed of the V-configuration having an integrated engine and transmission. The engine has an engine ventilation system communicating between the crankcase and an upper end of the valve cover, whereby blow-by gases can be returned to the air intake system to recycle the unspent fuel. The engine also includes an easily accessible/removable cam, such that the camshaft may be removed without removing the rocker arms. The engine also includes a lubrication system for lubricating components of the engine and transmission.

Abstract: A utility vehicle comprises a plurality of ground engaging members and a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members. The frame includes a front frame portion, a mid-frame portion, and a rear frame portion. The utility vehicle further comprises an attachment supported at the front frame portion. Additionally, the utility vehicle includes an operator area supported by the frame and including an operator seat and an adjacent passenger seat spaced apart from the operator seat. The operator seat and the passenger seat are in a side-by-side arrangement. The utility vehicle also comprises an auxiliary power assembly having an attachment shaft configured to be operably coupled to the attachment. The attachment shaft extends in a generally longitudinal direction of the utility vehicle and projects outwardly from the front frame portion.
