Abstract:
Described is a sexual stimulation device that allows a user to selectively change the exterior texture or pleasure pattern. The device includes a handle component with a first vibrating member extending from the handle component. The first vibrating member is operable for providing a vibration sensation. A first interchangeable sheath is provided with a first exterior texture. The first interchangeable sheath is adapted to detachably attach with the first vibrating member. Additionally, a second interchangeable sheath with a second exterior texture is provided. As was the case above, the second interchangeable sheath is adapted to detachably attach with the first vibrating member. Importantly, the second exterior texture is distinct from the first exterior texture.
Abstract:
One feature pertains to a pelvic harness comprising a tab having a first surface that is adapted to secure to at least a portion of a superior pubic skin region, and a saddle having a first surface adapted to secure to at least a portion of a perineal-anal region. The tab may be positioned at a first end of the pelvic harness, and the saddle may be positioned at a second, opposite end of the pelvic harness. The pelvic harness may further comprise a frame having a first end and a second end, where the frame's first end is coupled to the tab and the second end is coupled to the saddle. A portion of the frame may form an opening positioned in between the tab and the saddle. The frame may include a rail portion that includes at least two rails that define the opening.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus for massaging the body of a user comprising an arcuate member extending between first and second opposed ends and a central portion therebetween. The first and second ends are oriented away from the central portion and the arcuate member defines an arc having an angle of less than 180 degrees. The apparatus further comprises gripping portions disposed at the first and second opposed ends and a therapy applicator connectable to the central portion.
Abstract:
A handheld device for application to a skin surface of a human or animal includes a housing arranged and configured for gripping by a human hand having a mount for a thermal body-care element, a thermal body-care element operatively connected to the mount on the housing, a motion-generating system contained within the housing, and a heat-generating element. The thermal body-care element has a body-care surface. The motion-generating system includes a motor operatively coupled to the body-care surface to impart motion thereto and electrically coupled to an internal electric power source contained within the housing. The heat-generating element is thermally coupled to the body-care surface and has a container enclosing an electric heater in thermal contact with a thermal energy storage medium and an electrical connection for selective coupling to an external electrical power source. The heat-generating element container is disposed within the thermal body-care element.
Abstract:
A method of making a handheld, electromechanical device useful in body-care includes the steps of: forming a one-piece housing having a single opening defined by a rim; selecting a unitary insert; inserting the insert through the opening; selecting a cover; removably applying the cover to close the opening; and attaching the insert to at least one of the housing and cover. The rim of the housing circumscribes a rim area and the housing has a projected area that is substantially larger than the rim area. The insert is selected from a plurality of different inserts. The cover is arranged and configured to cooperate with the selected insert, and each of the plurality of different covers is arranged and configured to cooperate with one or more of the plurality of different inserts. Methods of customizing these devices and kits for consumer use are also described.
Abstract:
A sexual aid device formed of a substantially U-shaped, member having a proximal end adapted for engagement within the vagina of a user distal end positioned to oppose the proximal end in a biased engagement with intra vaginal and external sexually sensitive surfaces of the user's body. A skeletal member running axially within said U-shaped member may be employed to vary the force of the biased engagement and reshape the U-shaped member. A projecting elongated member adjacent to the distal end of the U-shaped member is engageable by the user or body contact with a second user to impart force to the U-shaped member for sexual stimulation.
Abstract:
A device and method for the application of pressure to a location where muscle pain exists, including at a trigger point. The device and method provide gradual, uniform and systematic progression of pressure and release. The device and method enable the application of pressure in a manner that allows a patient to tolerate the pressure without tensing the relevant muscles and/or causing the locus of pain to become hyperirritable and painful. The device and method also enable the gradual selectable increase in that applied pressure while still preventing the tense response from the patient so that the optimal or desired amount of focused pressure is tolerated. The device enables progressive deep tissue massage in systematic and progressive steps that enhances the treatment of myofascial trigger points in skeletal muscles and other forms of muscle pain. The device includes a plurality of terminal configurations that differ in hardness and/or dimensions.
Abstract:
An apparatus for reanimation of a patient that includes a plunger driven by a drive to perform a compressive massage on the patient's body, a position measuring device that measures the respective position of the plunger during its compressive massaging motion, and a holding device for the drive and the plunger.
Abstract:
Foot disorders such as Morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis, heel spurs tarsalgia and metatarsalgia may be treated with the apparatus described herein. The apparatus is comprised of a base, a stem and at least one therapeutic member. The base rests upon a floor. The stem perpendicularly extends from the base. The therapeutic member is attached to the stem. The therapeutic member has a rigid flat upper surface distal to the base and is sized to be covered by the plantar surface of a foot. To use the apparatus a user rests the plantar surface of his or her foot on the therapeutic member and moves the foot to stretch foot tissue or to spread metatarsal bones within the foot.
