Abstract:
A device for opening and closing a pivotally mounted door leaf including an actuator, which is displaceably and/or rotatingly arranged in a housing and connected to the door leaf and which, during displacement/rotation, actuates the door leaf, and a drive motor which is connected to the actuator for providing displacement/rotation thereof.
Abstract:
A single rail window regulator that uses a plate with two spaced, parallel guides that are integral to the plate. A lift member, adapted to receive a window pane, is slidably coupled to both guides. A cable is wrapped around two opposing pulleys that are mounted on the plate and a cable drum that is coupled a drive system. The ends of the cable are attached to the lift member. Activating the drive system moves the lift member along the rails.
Abstract:
A vehicle door drive unit for raising and lowering a glass plate is constructed so that a plurality of pulleys across which wires extend are provided at upper and lower sides of a base panel. The glass plate is supported by a carrier plate which is connected to the wire ends. The glass plate is moved up and down by the wires and is prevented from excessively moving in a vehicle inward direction when the door is closed by a supporting rod positioned along an upward and downward path of the glass plate and a contact member. Trumpet shaped guide portions are formed at the edges of holes of the wire fixing portions of the carrier plate and the circumferential surfaces of a V-shaped tensioner are provided for eliminating slack in the wires.
Abstract:
A breakaway hinge system for an appliance door includes a claw and a receptacle adapted to receive and retain the claw. The receptacle includes a support member and at least one hinge mounting structure that is engaged by the claw. The at least one hinge mounting structure is movable relative to the support member between first and second positions. A spring biases the at least one hinge mounting structure to the first operative position, and the at least one hinge mounting structure is movable to the second position in response to application of force to the hinge assembly having a magnitude sufficient to overcome the spring. The at least one hinge mounting structure can be a pin or like structure provided as part of a pair of pins connected directly or indirectly to the support member.
Abstract:
A gate operator in a first configuration opens and closes a gate that swings about an upstanding pivotal axis. In a second configuration the gate operator opens and closes a gate that extends and retracts along a straight line. A motor-driven wheel extends from the bottom of an open-bottomed enclosure and is perpendicular to the gate in the first configuration and parallel to the gate in the second configuration. The wheel is driven by a reversible DC motor. Turning a jack screw in a first direction increases the bias on an adjustable compression spring so that the weight of the gate is transferred to the wheel and rotation of the jack screw in an opposite direction shifts weight from the wheel to the gate.
Abstract:
A cable tensioner includes two cams mounted to face each other that pivot about a common spindle. A torsion spring is centered on the spindle. The torsion spring includes a first end in abutment with a first cam and a second end in abutment with a second cam. The torsion spring applies a torque onto each of the cams to reduce an angular distance between the cams when a cable exhibits insufficient tension. The cable tensioner is placed in a window regulator mechanism to simultaneously tension a lower cable and an upper cable of the device. Furthermore, the tension of one cable through the cable tensioner is reversible since the tension of each cable is balanced with the tension of the other cable.
Abstract:
A device for automatically actuating a vehicle door (1), in particular a side door or a tailgate of the motor vehicle, including: A control device (12) and a drive (4;4′) having a motor (5) with a gearing (6) connected downstream and at least one transmission element (8;20) located between the gearing 6 (6) and thevehicle door (1). The invention facilitates the manual actuation of an automatically actuated vehicle door (1) that is in an open position. To achieve this, a load sensor (10) is mounted on the drive (4). When a predetermined load on the open vehicle door (1) has been reached, the sensor generates a control signal, which is fed to the control device (12) for activating the motor (5), or for decoupling a coupling (18) that is located between the gearing (6) and the transmission element (8;20), the load on the open vehicle door (1) being produced e.g. by a corresponding manual pressure on the vehicle door (1).
Abstract:
A rolling door error-start prevention device, comprising: a base plate provided at a lateral side of the upper rolling shaft accommodating chamber of rolling door; a rolling machine having a housing-base and a sprocket which drives said rolling shaft of the rolling door through a chain rolling, and which is fixed on the drive shaft; wherein said housing-base of the rolling machine is pivoted, in a swingable manner, to its upper position, at a base plate through a shaftpin, one or two slot(s) is (are) formed at a position below said base, and a guiding rod loosely passes through said slots and slidably pivots to said base; a tension spring, positioned oppositely to the direction of rotation of the rolling shaft, and applying a tension force onto lower portion of the housing-base of the rolling machine to maintain the base in a balanced condition; a sensor device, provided at the lower portion of the housing-base of the rolling machine, and used to detect the position of the base in such a manner that the sensor can switch off the power supply for a delay circuit and supply a reverse current to the rolling machine to rotate in reverse direction to cause the rolling door to descend back to its original position, when a deflection of the base due to the exceeding of torque load beyond a critical point is detected.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a non-contact door safety system comprising two spring-loaded legs on either side of the door and a photo-optic system that creates a beam the desired distance in front of the leading edge of the door. The beam can be considered an imaginary leading edge of the door.
Abstract:
An activation device for a functional component of motor vehicle equipment having an electric motor includes a transmission device connected on the one hand to an output shaft of the motor and on the other hand to said functional component, so that the transmission device and the motor exert mutual forces upon one another, and a safety device adapted for modifying the electrical supply of the motor according to an operating parameter significant of said mutual forces. The motor is mounted on the equipment with at least one degree of movement with respect thereto, and the safety device has means of measuring the movement of the motor delivering measurement signals which determine the operating parameter. The activation device is particularly applicable to electric window winder or sun-roof systems.
