Abstract:
A gluing nozzle can include a base defining a receiving cavity, and a tube coupled to the base. The tube can include a straight portion mounted to the base, and a bent portion bent from the straight portion. The tube can define a channel fluidly communicating with the receiving cavity, the straight portion, and the bent portion. The channel can extend through an outlet of the bent portion. A distal end of the bent portion can form an annular surface surrounding the outlet. The annular surface can be substantially parallel to an axis of the straight portion.
Abstract:
A method is provided for coating tubular food casings, especially intestines, with flavoring substances in particle form, especially spices, wherein the tubular casing is wetted on the inside with adhesive and the desired flavoring substances are deposited on the formed adhesive layer. Here, it is essential that the casing, wetted on the inside with adhesive (3), is brought through a particle-shaped flavoring substance supply, formed in the interior of the tube, and a gas cushion, in particular an air cushion, into a non-flat, open cross-sectional shape. The casing wetted with adhesive on its inner side carries along flavoring substances from the flavoring substance supply, when it is pulled through the flavoring substance supply. The casing at least on the inside is made from a hydrophilic plastic.

Abstract:
An apparatus for internally lining an elongate member, the apparatus including an outer barrel portion and an inner mold head, an annular mold cavity defined between the outer barrel portion and the inner mold body, and means for providing a settable material to the mold cavity wherein the settable material is injected into the mold cavity as the elongate member is forced past the cavity, internally lining the elongate member.
Abstract:
Provided is an apparatus for manufacturing a composite material consisting of a flexible substrate and a multilayer nanostructured PV-active film supported by the substrate. The apparatus comprises a sealable chamber, the cylindrical inner wall of which is used as a support for a flexible substrate. The chamber contains a rotating crucible having a recess in its center and flat margins. The apparatus is provided with a power laser capable of generating an annular beam focused on the aforementioned flat surface. In operation, a nanoparticle-containing colloidal solution is supplied to the crucible. During rotation, the solution moves to the flat margins where it forms a thin layer that is evaporated by means of the annular laser beam. As the solution evaporates, the nanoparticles, which remain on the surface, fly out by inertia from the edges of the crucible to the flexible substrate. The deposition process can be controlled so that the deposited layers form a PV-active film.
Abstract:
The inventive method for protecting from corrosion and scale deposit and restoring tubes of heat-exchanging equipment consists in applying a polymeric coating on the internal surface of tubes by gradually and rotationally moving an excessive volume of polymeric material therealong and in hardening said material. A polymeric compound having an at-rest viscosity ranging from 1000 to 1200 poises and a thixotropic viscosity reduction during the displacement thereof is used as a polymeric material. The inventive device for carrying out said method comprises a loading chamber (2), a connecting washer (12), a unit for progressively displacing the polymeric material provided with spaced rigid washers (4,5,6) fixed to a metallic rod (7), an elastic screw (8) having a conical shape whereby the conicity thereof ranges from 5 to 10° on the side which is opposite in relation to the connecting washer. Said elastic screw is arranged in such a way that it is enable to perform the gradual rotation, the rotation displacement being performed at a linear speed of 0.4-1.0 m/sec and the gradual displacement being performed at a speed of 1-0.49 m/sec.

Abstract:
A paint spray rig is disclosed for applying "high gain" reflective paints to a motion picture projection screen. The rig includes a tower which extends vertically of the screen and which can be indexed laterally across the screen. A paint spray head is carried by a carriage assembly that is vertically movable on a tower. The spray head can be moved towards and away from the screen under the control of ultrasonic sensors that measure the distance between the spray head and the screen, for maintaining the distance substantially constant. The spray head can also be moved progressively in the vertical direction with respect to the carriage so that it is at the bottom of the carriage for painting the bottom edge of the screen and at the top of the carriage for painting the top edge of the screen. The spray head can also be swapped from one side of the carriage to the other for painting opposite side edge portions of the screen.
Abstract:
A buffer tank and pre-wetting apparatus prevent a liquid chemical waste from crystalizing on the inside walls of a drain pipe that carries the waste to a waste tank. The pre-wetting apparatus includes a pre-wetting tank with an overflow pipe that leads to the waste tank drain pipe. A water supply is connected to fill the pre-wetting tank to the rim of the overflow pipe and then overflow to wet the inside walls of the drain pipe before waste from the buffer tank is transferred through the overflow pipe and to the drain pipe and the waste tank.
