Abstract:
A vehicle has a luggage compartment delimited, at the bottom, by a bottom floor and, at the rear, by a cross-beam defining an entry sill of the luggage compartment. The luggage compartment houses an additional loading floor that can be placed by a user in a lowered position, adjacent to the bottom floor, and in at least one raised position. The vehicle further has a retention member connected to a front end portion of the additional loading floor and to the cross-beam and has two flexible elongated elements connected to a rear end portion of the additional loading floor when the latter is placed in the lowered position.
Abstract:
A vehicle is provided with a luggage compartment that houses an additional support unit having a loading floor, height-adjustable between a lowered position and at least one raised position; the unit has two levers hinged to a fixed structure about a first horizontal axis and to the loading floor about a second horizontal axis, parallel to the first one; when placed in the raised position, the loading floor is supported, but can be rotated upwards about the second horizontal axis; the levers carry respective appendages, which rest on fixed brackets to support the loading floor in the raised position.
Abstract:
An electro-hydraulic control apparatus for a motor-vehicle transmission having at least five forward gears and one reverse gear, including first, second and third shift forks, each movable in at least one engagement position to engage a respective gear, first, second and third hydraulic actuators each arranged to control the movement of a respective shift fork in the respective at least one engagement position, and a slide valve selectively movable into one of at least three operating positions in each of which the slide valve selects a respective hydraulic actuator, wherein a first operating position is an end-of-travel position and corresponds to the selection of the first hydraulic actuator, and wherein a second operating position is also an end-of-travel position and corresponds to the selection of the second hydraulic actuator.
Abstract:
In an internal-combustion engine provided with a system for variable actuation of the intake valves of the cylinders, some of said cylinders are deactivated in given conditions of operation of the engine by interrupting the supply of fuel. During de-activation, the cycle of opening and closing of the intake valves and exhaust valves of the deactivated cylinders is maintained. The intake valves of each deactivated cylinder are opened when the exhaust valves of the same cylinders are also open. The inactive cylinders are used as reciprocating volumetric pumps for recirculation of exhaust gases from the exhaust manifold of the engine up to the intake manifold. The recirculated gases are cooled in the intake manifold by the air introduced into the latter and can consequently be fed in a larger mass to the active cylinders, which enables a better global efficiency of the engine to be obtained.
Abstract:
An automotive electronic control system for a motor vehicle is provided. The automotive electronic control system is designed to cause the motor vehicle to enter a freewheel running condition with internal combustion engine off if the automotive electronic control system determines, based on received quantities indicative of operative conditions of the motor vehicle, occurrence of a driver-performable action indicative of the will of the driver to enter a freewheel running condition with internal combustion engine off and occurrence at or within a given time from the occurrence of the driver-performable action and the maintaining for a given time of specific predetermined entry conditions. The automotive electronic control system is further designed to cause the motor vehicle to leave a freewheel running condition with internal combustion engine off if the automotive electronic control system determines, based on the received quantities, occurrence of at least one of specific predetermined exit conditions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a miniaturized device controlled by electromagnetic signals in the radiofrequency range for controlled release of substances or for controlled sampling of specimens, comprising a reservoir, and a closing system associated to said reservoir, where said closing system is constituted by a valve structure, closing-opening of which is controlled by the electromagnetic signal in the radiofrequency range.
Abstract:
An LPG fuel tank for motor vehicles is provided, inside, with a support, on which there can be installed in a rapid way a pump assembly including a supply pump and the corresponding electric actuating motor. Preferably, the support is also used for installing a level-sensor assembly within the tank.
Abstract:
A light-emitting device, in particular a backlight device, comprises a transparent substrate (2) having a front surface and a rear surface, in which associated to the rear surface are means for generating an electromagnetic radiation that is able to pass through the substrate and come out of the front surface. According to the invention, the device comprises a layer of porous alumina which operates so as to inhibit propagation of said electromagnetic radiation in the directions parallel to the plane of the substrate, thus improving the efficiency of extraction of light from the substrate and increasing the directionality of the emitted light.
Abstract:
VTOL aircraft comprising a first and a second ducted rotor positioned at the ends of a vertical fuselage and whose propellers are driven to rotate in mutually opposite directions. Control flaps for orientation and transverse flight are operatively associated at least to the lower ducted rotor.
Abstract:
A voice connection system comprises a sensor matrix sending to a control unit signals indicating an animal's status in terms of stimuli, feelings, events, actions or behavior of said animal. The control unit selectsnulldepending on the signals receivednulla voice message recorded into memory means associated to the unit, and activates a loudspeaker belonging to the system, in order to issue said voice message. The system further comprises voice recognition means, which activate pulse generators depending on the content of a voice message uttered by the human user.
