Abstract:
The massage machine includes a chair main body that includes: a seat part on which a person to be treated is seated, a backrest part, which is provided at a back part of the seat part, and on which the person to be treated leans, and a footrest which is provided at a front part of the seat part and supports leg parts of the person to be treated; guide rails and which are provided at the chair main body; and a first massage part and a second massage part which are configured to respectively move in the height direction along the guide rails. The first massage part moves at least from a position corresponding to the backrest part to a position corresponding to the seat part, and the second massage part moves at least from a position corresponding to the footrest to the position corresponding to the seat part.
Abstract:
Provided is a joint movement aid, which has a simple structure and is lightweight and which a user can easily put on and take off, and which has a novel structure capable of safely supporting a walking without impeding a user's autonomous fall-preventing movement even in a case of a disturbance such as external force on the user in a transverse direction. The walking movement aid includes a right and left pair of assisting units provided with drive sources, which exert a pulling force on flexible auxiliary force transmission parts, and a control member for controlling the respective drive sources of the assisting units corresponding to changes in a joint angle with user's hip joints.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a lower exoskeleton intended to be worn by a user and comprising: a pelvic element (1) provided with means for securing to an upper part of the user's body; two lower supports (2) which are provided with means for securing to the user's lower limbs and which rest on the ground during stance phases, each of said supports comprising a thigh segment and a tibia segment connected by a knee link configured to allow flexion and extension between the thigh segment and the leg segment; and hip links for connecting the two lower supports to the pelvic element. According to the invention, the pelvic element comprises: an inner segment (30) extending symmetrically in relation to a central sagittal plane and associated with means for securing to the user; and two outer segments (33) extending symmetrically and being connected to respective distal ends of the inner segment by means of linking members (31, 32, 34; 31′), allowing at least flexion between the inner segment and each outer segment along two orthogonal axes. Each lower support is connected by one of the hip links to one of the outer segments (33).
Abstract:
The present invention is a portable device for administering spinal decompression therapy. The device features a compact size and an innovative tension control mechanism to facilitate, in particular, a therapy for imbibition. The use of fabric for a sling and a platform adds comfort features while reducing weight.
Abstract:
A lower extremity exoskeleton, configurable to be coupled to a person, includes two leg supports configurable to be coupled to the person's lower limbs, an exoskeleton trunk configurable to be coupled to the person's upper body, which is rotatably connectable to the thigh links of the leg supports allowing for the flexion and extension between the leg supports and the exoskeleton trunk, two hip actuators configured to create torques between the exoskeleton trunk and the leg supports, and at least one power unit capable of providing power to the hip actuators wherein the power unit is configured to cause the hip actuator of the leg support in the swing phase to create a torque profile such that force from the exoskeleton leg support onto the person's lower limb during at least a portion of the swing phase is in the direction of the person's lower limb swing velocity.
Abstract:
A sit-up exerciser having a secondary purpose of promoting a bowel movement. Two pivot plates correspondingly pivot, a waist support plate is disposed between the pivot plates to prevent the waist from slipping, and the pivoting angle of the pivot plates can be easily adjusted, so that a person who needs to exercise his or her waist can easily exercise it while having his/her bowel movement facilitated in order to promote the health. The pivoting angle of the pivot plates can be easily adjusted to control the intensity of the exercise, the pivoting speed of the pivot plates can be adjusted to be fast or slow, the temperature of the pivot plates can be adjusted from room temperature up to 70° C. so that the temperature of the surface of the pivot plates can be controlled, and the operating time can be adjusted depending on user's preference.
Abstract:
A massage appliance capable of synchronous kneading and tapping includes: a power-driven vertically-moving device, including an outer portion having therein a sliding channel, and a vertically-moving rack disposed alongside the sliding channel; a device capable of synchronous kneading and tapping, including a housing portion having therein a power source for driving a first transmission device whereby a second transmission device is driven to drive a rotational inclined surface structure for driving an oscillating arm to oscillate laterally; an oscillating arm coupled to a massage head support, two infrared lamp plates and two massage heads, causing the massage heads to perform kneading-based massage, the first transmission device driving a third transmission device, whereas the third transmission device driving an eccentric cam, wherein an eccentric spindle is connected to a lever weight to pull the massage head support to perform tapping, thereby allowing the two massage heads to perform tapping-based massage.
Abstract:
A powered rocking bed, as disclosed, comprises a longitudinal push-pull rod medially connected to a powered driver, the rod configured to provide an oscillating push-pull longitudinal force on a first and second distal end about an axis there between and a plurality of upper and lower rollers disposed adjacent each distal end of the longitudinal push-pull rod.
Abstract:
A method for controlling movement using an active powered device including an actuator, joint position sensor, muscle stress sensor, and control system. The device provides primarily muscle support although it is capable of additionally providing joint support (hence the name “active muscle assistance device”). The device is designed for operation in several modes to provide either assistance or resistance to a muscle for the purpose of enhancing mobility, preventing injury, or building muscle strength. The device is designed to operate autonomously or coupled with other like device(s) to provide simultaneous assistance or resistance to multiple muscles.
Abstract:
A skin cleanser includes a surface, such as a silicone surface, with at least one textured portion for transmitting vibrational tapping to the skin. The skin cleanser includes at least one oscillating motor for generating the tapping motion to the skin. The textured portion includes touch-points or a wave that transmit the tapping motion to skin in contact with the textured portions. The touch-points may include thicker and thinner formations of the touch-points to provide firmer or softer vibrations to the skin. The touch-points are within about 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter. One configuration includes multiple oscillating motors configured to provide different vibration frequencies at around 50-300 Hertz and operable simultaneously.
