Abstract:
A FLAME-RESISTANT TEXTILE ARTICLE COMPRISING FILAMENTS, STAPLE FIBERS OR YARNS FROM NATURAL AND/OR SYNTHETIC MATERIAL AND A HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURE CONSISTING OF A HALOGEN PHOSPHORIC ACID ESTERS, A PHOSPHORUS-CONTAINING PLASTICIZING AGENT, A POLYALKYL HALIDE, ANTIMONY OXIDE AND A POLYURETHANE.
Abstract:
AN INTEGRAL TUFTED CARPET, WHICH CARPET COMPRISES IN COMBINATION: A BASE FABRIC SHEET COMPRISING THERMOPLASTIC FIBERS, WHICH FIBERS ARE SUBJECT TO SHRINKAGE AT TEMPERATURES IN EXCESS OF ABOUT 200*F.; TUFTED YARNS SECURED THROUGH AND TO SAID BASE FABRIC SHEET TO PROVIDE A TUFTED PILE FACE SURFACE AND YARN LOOPS ON THE BACK SURFACE; A LAYER OF A FUSED VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN PLASTISOL COMPOSITION BONDED TO THE BACK SURFACE, THE FUSED LAYER SUBSTANTIALLY FILING THE INTERSTICES BETWEEN THE TUFTED YARN LOOPS AND THE BASE FABRIC, THE FUSED PLASTISOL COMPOSITION THE SOLE ADHESIVE EMPLOYED TO LOCK THE TUFTED YARNS TO THE BASE FABRIC, THE THERMOPLASTIC FIBERS OF THE BASE FABRIC MAINTAINED IN SUBSTANTIALLY NONHEAT-SHRINKABLE FORM; AND A LAYER OF A THERMOPLASTIC FOAM, ONE SURFACE OF THE FOAM SHEET BONDED TO THE SURFACE OF THE FUSED PLASTISOL COMPOSITION, THE LAYERS BONDED TO EACH OTHER SOLELY BY THE MELTED AND COOLED SURFACES OF THE THERMOPLASTIC VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN AND THE FOAM.
Abstract:
A PROCESS IS DISCLOSED FOR THE MOLDING OF AUTOMOTIVE FLOOR COVERINGS. A MOLTEN THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITION IS APPLIED TO THE BACK OF A LENGTH OF CARPET. THE CARPET IS IMMEDIATELY LAMINATED TO A BACKING PAD AND THE LAMINATE IS IMMEDIATELY FORMED IN A MOLD.
Abstract:
Artificial turf for use with an artificial turf system, which may also include a base layer and a support layer. The artificial turf comprising a backing supporting pile tufts of between ¼″ to 4″ in length, in position on its upper surface. The backing may comprise a porous synthetic foam or backing sheet. A filler of particles shaped to have no sharp edges and of substantially equal size are interspersed over the backing and about the tufts up to at least half thick length. The artificial turf substantially retains its resiliency, porosity and equal density throughout.
Abstract:
A waterproof and UV-resistant form-fitting cover comprising a four-way stretchable fabric that is pre-cut to an unstretched shape corresponding to 60-80% of a stretched shape that fits onto an object to be covered by the fabric, wherein the fabric is UV-resistant and waterproof. A method of manufacturing a form-fitting cover includes steps of receiving an electronic order specifying a size and shape for the cover, determining a material and blend based on the size and shape, computing a fabric size, and cutting a four-way stretchable fabric to an unstretched shape corresponding to the object to be covered.
Abstract:
A bonding composition for adhering PVC to fabric is disclosed. The bonding composition contains isocyanurate and organophosphate at an organophosphate to isocyanurate weight ratio of 4:1 to 10:1.
Abstract:
This application provides for a material configuration and method of manufacture to provide grip and slip resistant in fabrics used in clothing and gloves that require high performance slip resistance against the skin.
Abstract:
Polymer compositions useful as shaped articles such as synthetic yarns are disclosed. The polymer compositions include poly(dihydrocarbylsiloxane) components featuring one or more of octyl, dodecyl, cetyl, behenyl, vinyl, bis-vinyl, vinyl-reacted, or bis-vinyl-reacted substituents. The synthetic yams have been used to produce tufted carpets having improved performance characteristics, including softness benefits, as well as improved water repellency and soil release.

Abstract:
A covering system includes a tarp made of an elastic membrane and a plurality of tarp fastening hooks. The fastening hooks allow the elastic membrane to be stretched over valuables and affixed to environmental anchors so that creases and puddle-enabling pockets in the membrane are eliminated. The fastening hooks clamp onto the elastic membrane and hook onto the environmental anchors to cause tension in the membrane. The clamping forces of the tarp fasteners are inherently increased in proportion to the tension in the clamped membrane.
