Abstract:
A vinyl floor covering includes a carrier which includes a nonwoven layer of fibers containing thermoplastic fibers and high modulus threads extending in the longitudinal direction of the vinyl floor covering for eliminating wrinkles in the vinyl floor covering and for preventing the formation of printing errors and/or surface irregularities in the vinyl floor covering.
Abstract:
A tufted pile fabric for use indoors or outdoors as a substantially permanent floor covering. The tufted pile fabric is made entirely from man-made or synthetic materials and includes a synthetic plastic primary backing, and a synthetic plastic secondary backing, laminated together by a hot melt adhesive to form a relatively rigid impervious sheet. The structure is then provided with a plurality of perforations through the substantially impervious sheet comprising the secondary backing, the hot melt adhesive and the primary backing to give the fabric a softer hand and breathability. The tufted pile fabric may then be adhesively secured to a floor structure by a water based adhesive, inert to the primary and secondary backings and hot melt adhesive, with the water evaporating through the perforations to set the adhesive and thereby avoid puckers and edge rippling due to unbonding the pile fabric from the floor structure.
Abstract:
The floor covering includes multiple layers including a non-woven base layer, a VAE precoat applied to the non-woven woven base layer and overlaid by a first PVC layer. A fiberglass mat is applied over the first PVC layer and a second PVC layer is applied over the mat. A woven PVC layer is laminated by heat and pressure to the underlying second PVC layer. The woven PVC layer comprises monofilament or multifilament cores, preferably but not limited to, polyester filaments overlaid by a PVC coating.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a textile damping material which has the structure of a flexible, three-dimensional, textile spacing structure (50) which is stable in respect of shape. The spacing structure (50) has an upper layer portion (7) and a lower layer portion (9) which are made up of single-thread or multi-thread yarn, wherein the two layer portions (7, 9) are spaced from each other and connected to each other by elastic pile threads (8).Also disclosed is an impact and water absorbing mat for motor vehicles and a tee-off golfing mat, each obtained by use of the textile damping material. The tee-off golfing mat has a damping layer (10).
Abstract:
A composite laminate material and a process for making the same are provided, the process comprising the steps of providing an unbonded fibrous batt of desired thickness having a thermosetting binder material dispersed therethrough, applying a layer of desired thickness of a curable latex to at least one side of the fibrous batt, drying the layer to a predetermined moisture level to provide a dried composite material, and heating and compression molding the dried composite material to simultaneously mold the composite, cure the layer and cure the binder material by embossing a pattern into the exposed side of the layer before the layer and the binder material are cured to cause the layer to be contoured with the pattern substantially throughout the thickness thereof and thereby cause the pattern to be substantially impressed into one side of the batt so that the resulting embossed and cured layer has a substantially uniform thickness and the one side of the cured batt substantially conforms to the embossed contour of the layer. This application is a continuation patent application of copending parent application, Ser. No. 167,294, filed Jul. 10, 1980, now abandoned.

Abstract:
Foundation fabrics useful for tufted textile products and the like, which comprise a primary backing material having a web-like structure of self-extinguishing flame-resistant fibrous material attached to one surface thereof. Also disclosed are flameresistant tufted carpets utilizing the foundation fabric.
Abstract:
A FLAME-RESISTANT TEXTILE ARTICLE COMPRISING FILAMENTS, STAPLE FIBERS OR YARNS FROM NATURAL AND/OR SYNTHETIC MATERIAL AND A HOMOGENEOUS MIXTURE CONSISTING OF A HALOGEN PHOSPHORIC ACID ESTERS, A PHOSPHORUS-CONTAINING PLASTICIZING AGENT, A POLYALKYL HALIDE, ANTIMONY OXIDE AND A POLYURETHANE.
Abstract:
A self-healing resin composition includes 35 phr to 110 phr of a main resin, 10 phr to 30 phr of a self-healing component, a hardener, a matting agent, and a solvent. The main resin contains a diol monomer and a diisocyanate monomer. The self-healing component includes at least one of a cyclosiloxane and a self-healing component as represented in a formula (I) of:
R1 is formed from a first isocyanate, R2 is formed from a second isocyanate, and R3 is selected from the group consisting of:
“x” is an integer ranging from 3 to 50. “y” is an integer ranging from 3 to 50. “m” is an integer ranging from 3 to 50. “n1” is an integer ranging from 3 to 50. “n2” is an integer ranging from 3 to 50.
