    Abstract: An atmospheric moisture harvesting system, in which water vapor is separated from the air using a liquid desiccant subsystem. The moisture charged liquid desiccant enters a desorber and condensation system, where the moisture is extracted. Cooling and condensation are performed on the extracted water vapor only, thereby saving the energy for cooling air containing the water vapor, as is done in direct cooling systems. The system thus operates as a single stage vapor separation system since the vapor concentration remains in the liquid desiccant which is circulated to the separation and condensation subsystems without air laden with the moisture. Low grade or solar heat can be used as the energy source for the vapor desorption. A heat exchanger utilizes unwanted heat from regenerated desiccant to heat up charged desiccant entering the regenerating stage. The system has substantial energy savings over prior art systems using direct cooling of air.

    Abstract: A system comprising a protein and a channel. The channel has a domain that binds a membranal component. The channel is configured to carry a liquid sample to an isotachophoresis (ITP) apparatus. The liquid sample comprising or suspected of comprising a cell, a cell membrane or a fraction of a cell membrane. The ITP apparatus comprises a first zone and a second zone. The first zone is configured to contain a solution of high effective mobility leading electrolyte (LE) ion. The second zone is configured to contain a solution of low effective mobility trailing electrolyte (TE) ion. The first zone and the second zone are configured to be operably connected to at least one anode and at least one cathode.

    Abstract: A method that uses at least one hardware processor for receiving a three-dimensional model of an object, receiving an audio sequence embodied as a digital file that comprises a musical composition, generating a video frame sequence, and synthesizing the audio sequence and the video frame sequence into an audiovisual clip. The three-dimensional model is embodied as a digital file that comprises a representation of the object. The generating step comprises computing a caricature of the object by applying a computerized caricaturization algorithm to the three-dimensional model. The computing has scaling gradient fields of surface coordinates of the three-dimensional model by a function of a Gaussian curvature of the surface, and finding a regular surface whose gradient fields fit the scaled gradient fields. The computing is with a different exaggeration factor for each of multiple ones of the video frames, and the different exaggeration factor is based on one or more parameters of the musical composition of the audio sequence.

    Abstract: Authenticating a user by presenting an authentication instruction to an individual via any computing device output interfaces, the authentication instruction selected from an identity authentication profile, receiving a response to the authentication instruction via any input methods supported by the computing device, the response including content provided through the performance of an action, determining a current action measurement for characteristics associated with the action, and a current content measurement for characteristics associated with the content, where the characteristics are associated with the authentication instruction, determining that each of the measurements matches a corresponding benchmark associated with the authentication instruction to within a predefined tolerance, where the benchmarks are selected from the identity authentication profile and performing the presenting, receiving, and determining steps for each of a predefined number of authentication instructions selected from the identity authentication profile, thereby authenticating the individual.
