Abstract: The present invention relates to a cold-crystallizing material having high latent heat, and a method of using the present material for heat storing. The material of the invention comprises of a phase change material and an additive which is preferably a hydrophilic polymer matrix. Preferably, sugar alcohols, such as erythritol or D-mannitol, are used as the phase change material. The polymer of the invention is preferably cross-linked and ionic, i.e. a polyelectrolyte. PCM stores a high amount of heat energy while melting and releases the stored thermal energy by cold-crystallization. Compared to previously studied cold-crystallizing materials, the latent heat of the cold-crystallizing material of the invention is considerably higher, and cold-crystallization is more repeatable in successive melting-crystallization cycles. The material can be used for heat storing. Heat energy can be released from the material by a heat pulse on demand. The method is particularly suitable for long-term heat storing.

Abstract: The invention relates to a rotatable, plungeable and free path travelable non-consumable tool (5) for production of a channel (2) and a weld joint (1). The tool (5) comprises a shoulder and a probe, the shoulder having a surface facing the material(s) of components (3) to be processed. The shoulder and the probe are arranged to have a simultaneous and synchronized action in the materials of at least two components (3) to be processed. The shoulder facing the at least two components (3) to be processed has a system of scrolls shaped to have an inward action and an outward action on the at least two components (3) to be processed. The probe has a cylindrical or conical surface having a top zone, provided with a profile having a push-up action on the components (3) to be processed in a direction towards the shoulder. The top zone ends at or in the vicinity of a bottom zone provided with a profile having a push-down action on the components (3) to be processed in a direction towards the tip. The tool (5) enables the production of a channel (2) and a weld (1), between said at least two components (3), in one single action.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and tools for manufacturing of seamless tubular shapes, especially tubes and canisters. In the method of the invention the tubular shape is extracted from the flash (1) continuously produced during the plunging of a consumable rod (2) against a rigid anvil (3). The tools of the invention include a consumable rod (2); a non-consumable or consumable rigid anvil (3); first means for rotating the consumable rod (2) and the non-consumable or consumable rigid anvil (3) relatively with respect of each other; second means for plunging the consumable rod (2) and the non-consumable or consumable rigid anvil (3) relatively against each other; open die condition configuration for continuous production of flash (1) during said plunging.

Abstract: F estimating an anomaly in an environment a dimensionally accurate three-dimensional model associated with the environment is obtained from a memory, providing a three-dimensional position of objects in the environment. Thermal sensor data originating from a thermal sensor and image sensor data originating from an image sensor arranged in the environment is obtained. The thermal sensor data and image sensor data includes real-time image data associated with the environment, the thermal sensor and image sensor having known locations in the dimensionally accurate three-dimensional model. Locations of image pixels in the thermal sensor data, the image sensor data and a point of view of a camera associated with the dimensionally accurate three-dimensional model are mapped, and one of a location and size of an anomaly indicated by the thermal sensor data is estimated, the anomaly being associated with an object in the dimensionally accurate three-dimensional model based on the mapping.
