An adhesive film for polarizing plates includes a (meth)acrylic copolymer obtained by polymerizing about 15 wt % to about 30 wt % of a (meth)acrylic monomer having a hetero-alicyclic ring. The adhesive film has a storage modulus (G′) of about 30 kPa or greater as determined from Frequency sweep testing at 85° C. by oscillation at an angular speed of 10−3 rad/s to 102 rad/s. An adhesive composition for the same, a polarizing plate including the same, and an optical display device including the same are also disclosed.

An artificial marble chip of the present invention comprises curable resin, metal fiber and/or inorganic fiber, and inorganic filler. The metal fiber and/or inorganic fiber preferably have an average length of about 1 to about 6 mm and an average particle diameter of about 10 to about 15 μm. An artificial marble according to the present invention is produced by using the artificial marble chip, curable resin matrix, and inorganic filler as main components. The curable resin is preferably selected from acrylic resin, unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, or a copolymer thereof. The artificial marble according to the present invention is produced by the steps of: producing an artificial marble composition by mixing the artificial marble chip, the inorganic filler, and other additives into the curable resin matrix; and curing the composition at about 25 to about 180° C. The invention can also include the step of defoaming the composition prior to curing.

A crystalline polyamide ester resin is prepared by copolymerizing (A) a dicarboxylic acid component, (B) a diamine component, and (C) a cyclic aliphatic diol component, and has a structure in which a dicarboxylic acid moiety derived from the dicarboxylic acid component (A), a diamine moiety derived from the diamine component (B) and a cyclic aliphatic diol moiety derived from the cyclic aliphatic diol component (C) are repeated. A molar ratio ((B):(C)) of the diamine component (B) to the cyclic aliphatic diol component (C) is about 80 to about 99:about 1 to about 20. The crystalline polyamide ester resin has a melting point (Tm) ranging from about 280° C. to about 320° C. and a crystallization temperature (Tc) ranging from about 260° C. to about 290° C. The crystalline polyamide ester resin can have excellent heat resistance, discoloration resistance and moldability.

A polarizing plate includes a polarizer, a retardation film on a first side (e.g., a lower side) of the polarizer, and a protective film on a second side (e.g., an upper side) of the polarizer. The retardation film has an axis distortion angle between a fast axis of the retardation film and an absorption axis of the polarizer of about +0.03° to less than +0.2°. The protective film has an in-plane phase difference (Ro) of greater than about 10,000 nm and about 15,000 nm or less at a wavelength of 550 nm. A liquid crystal display apparatus includes the polarizing plate.
