Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a motorized drive assembly that includes a motor and a drive assembly, where the drive assembly has an axle configured to be disposed through a rotatable substrate of a polarization shifter for a dual-polarized radiating element, the axle being further configured to fasten, at a first end of the axle, to a support structure of the polarization shifter, wherein, when the motorized drive assembly is assembled to the polarization shifter, the motor is controllable to impart rotational forces, via movement of the axle, to the polarization shifter to effect polarization adjusting for the dual-polarized radiating element. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, obtaining uplink information associated with a downlink path, wherein the uplink information includes operational parameters used by a plurality of communication devices for transmitting wireless signals on a plurality of uplink paths; performing, based on the uplink information, a plurality of measurements of the plurality of uplink paths; identifying a measurement from the plurality of measurements that is below a threshold, thereby indicating an affected uplink path of the plurality of uplink paths; initiating a first filtering of the affected uplink path, wherein the initiating is based on the identifying and wherein the first filtering is based upon one or more first filtering parameters; and receiving instructions comprising one or more updated filtering parameters, wherein the instructions are received by the system at a port of the system. Abstract: A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, a method of identifying, by a system comprising a processor, network communication degradation in one or more layers of a multi-layered communication protocol above a physical layer, wherein the network communication degradation is associated with communications taking place through a network, in part over a radio frequency link, between a plurality of communication devices, obtaining, by the system, data from a layer below the one or more layers of the multi-layered communication protocol identified as having the network communication degradation, determining, by the system, one or more geographic regions of the network associated with the network communication degradation from the data, and mitigating, by the system, effects of the network communication degradation in the one or more geographic regions of the network. Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting, by a monitoring system associated with a communication system, signals received at an array of orthogonally-polarized radiating elements of an antenna, causing, via a motorized drive assembly, the array of orthogonally-polarized radiating elements to sequentially rotate to a plurality of positions, obtaining, by a control system from the monitoring system and for each of the plurality of positions, data relating to signals from the array of orthogonally-polarized radiating elements, based on the data, determining, by the control system, an optimal position of the plurality of positions for the array of orthogonally-polarized radiating elements at which an impact of passive intermodulation (PIM) on the communications system is minimized, and controlling, by the control system, the motorized drive assembly to cause the array of orthogonally-polarized radiating elements to occupy the optimal position. Abstract: A system includes a method for detecting a signal interference in a communication signal of a wireless communication system. An identified source of the signal interference is determined according to an interference profile of a plurality of interference profiles associated with an interference profile library having information that approximates characteristics of the signal interference. The signal interference of the communication signal is mitigated according to an interference parameter associated with the identified source by filtering the communication signal according to the interference parameter.
