Abstract:
A scanned beam display is operable to compensate for variations in apparent pixel brightness arising from variations in beam scanning velocity and/or pixel dwell times. A compensation circuit modifies pixel values according to their scanning velocity and/or dwell time.
Abstract:
A tire insert system for assembly into a continuous ring during its positioning within a tire, and is supported on a wheel web between the wheel flanges where the continuous tire insert ring is mounted to the wheel to support a tire load for a significant travel distance should that tire lose air. The four tire insert segments each include an arcuate shaped outer portion that, when assembled end to end, form the insert ring, and each tire insert segment includes an anchor plate that is an arcuate section when assembled side by side with other anchor plates forms a flat disk having an open center portion, which anchor plate is secured to the tire insert on its top end and includes mounting holes formed in its lower portion for receiving bolt type fasteners fitted therethrough and through forward and rear wheel sections, sandwiching the anchor plates therebetween, forming the tire insert ring in the tire during a mounting of the tire between wheel flanges.
Abstract:
A system for manufacturing an elastomeric tire utilizing a separate formation of a package having a tire core shape and containing tire belts, plies and beads. The package is formed by a laying up of layers of pre-cure elastomer intradigitated with sections of porous fabric, where the fabric fibers are placed at desired crossing angles to one another, and the pre-cure elastomer layers are positioned therebetween as a sandwich, with the sandwich then cold rolled into the tire core shape. Inelastic hoop shaped beads are fitted to and encapsulated in the tire core side walls ends and, as required, an inelastic belt is fitted around the tire core tread area that is secured thereto as by cold rolling a layer of pre-cure elastomer thereover, completing the tire core package. The tire core package is fitted into a mold, preferably a spin casting mold, and is supported therein equidistant from the mold cavity walls to receive an elastomer sprayed therein as the mold is spun. During spinning, the exothermic heat of reaction of the sprayed elastomer constituents as is generated as they are mixed and sprayed into the mold, completes the cure of the pre-cure elastomer, providing a homogenous finished tire with the belts, plies and beads optimally positioned therein.

Abstract:
A system or network for assembling, filing and processing health care data transactions and insurance claims made by patients pursuant to health care policies issued to the patients by insurance companies or other carriers for service provided to the patients at health care facilities. The network comprises a multitude of participating patients, a multitude of health care facilities, and a plurality of insurance companies or other carriers. Each of the patients has a personal data file including a set of patient related data encoded in a machine readable format, and each of the health care facilities has a telecommunications unit and a file reader to read the data on the personal data files and to transmit the patient related data to the telecommunications unit at the facility. The network further includes a central claims processing unit connected to the telecommunications units of the health care facilities to receive the electronic claim forms from those facilities and to adjudicate those claims.
Abstract:
An improved livestock watering system is provided which is adapted to selectively circulate water between a reservoir and a drinking basin in response to the temperature of the water in the drinking basin so as to prevent water in the drinking basin from freezing during low temperature conditions, and to cool the water in the drinking basin during high temperature conditions. The livestock watering system comprises a housing, a drinking basin supported by the housing, a reservoir disposed within the ground so as to be positioned below the frostline of the ground, and a water circulation assembly for selectively circulating water between the reservoir and the drinking basin. A flow control valve, disposed in a lower portion of the drinking basin, is connected to a pressurized water source such that a substantially constant level of water is maintained in the drinking basin. A temperature sensing assembly adapted to sense the temperature of the water in the drinking basin is operably connected to the water circulation assembly such that the water circulation system can be selectively activated between an on mode and an off mode in response to the temperature of the water in the drinking basin.
Abstract:
A process for forming a solid polyurethane an airless solid core tire with a wheel rim bonded thereto where the tire bonding takes place during the tire casting or molding process where a wheel rim area, that includes a circumferential trough, is etched, treated with a primer and, after drying, receives an adhesive coating applied thereto, and the wheel is positioned in a mold to receive a mixture of polyurethane materials passed into the mold to form the airless solid core tire that is permanently bonded onto the wheel rim.
Abstract:
An electric guitar has a main body which includes a neck portion. A hinge which connects a control module to the main body enables the main body and control module to be folded together into a more compact form. An outer body has an upper body and rear body and is detachably connected to the main body. The upper body has a flat surface which mates with a corresponding flat surface on the rear body. A machine bolt interconnects the upper and rear bodies and is perpendicular to the flat surfaces which are at selected angles of inclination to allow the upper body to rotate about the bolt and on the surfaces from a position at which it is at a right angle to the rear body to a position at which it is in longitudinal alignment with the rear body. In this position of alignment, the outer body is sufficiently narrow so that it can be placed over and secured to the folded main body and control module and the guitar can fit within a relatively short and narrow.
