Abstract:
A titanium alloy includes 15 to 27 atomic % (at%) of tantalum (Ta) and 0 to 8 at% of tin (Sn), the balance being titanium (Ti) and unavoidable impurities, when the entire 5 amount of the titanium alloy is taken as 100 at%. Therefore, the titanium alloy provided has characteristics suitable for medical device materials, biocompatible materials, etc.

To provide a therapeutic agent for gastrointestinal disorder such as diabetic gastroparesis. A postprandial gastrokinetic agent containing (A) ghrelin or a ghrelin agonist and (B) motilin or a motilin agonist as active ingredients, in which both the ingredients (A) and (B) are administered so as to act on the stomach after food intake.
Abstract:
An electret-structure encompasses a fluorine-resin film 21, an electrode 22 formed on one surface of the fluorine-resin film 21, and a silica layer 21 formed on another surface of the fluorine-resin film 21. The silica layer 21 is implemented by a plurality of island-shaped silica regions 201 for covering the fluorine-resin film 21 in a topology such that the island-shaped silica regions 201 are isolated from each other. And negative charges are deposited on the island-shaped silica regions 201. The static-induction conversion element with the electret-structure 1 can be mounted on a substrate by reflow-process through Pb-free solder.
Abstract:
In an example of a system, power is transferred from a transmission coil to a reception coil by electromagnetic induction. A detecting unit calculates a difference between a standard value and a measured value, detects presence of a metallic foreign object on the transmission coil based on the difference, and outputs a signal when the metallic foreign object is detected. The standard value is obtained by supplying electrical power to the transmission coil when a metallic foreign object is absent on the transmission coil. The measured value is obtained by supplying electrical power to the transmission coil. If PIN0 represents input power of the transmission coil, PL0 represents output power of the reception coil, Pc1 represents copper loss of the transmission coil, and Pc2, represents copper loss of the reception coil, the detecting unit uses a value expressed by (PIN0-PL0-Pc1-Pc2) as the standard value and the measured value.
Abstract:
A nucleic acid linker is for producing a complex of mRNA and a protein encoded by that mRNA, comprising one 3′-terminal region and two branched 5′-terminal regions, wherein the 3′-terminal region comprises a single-stranded polynucleotide segment able to hybridize with the sequence on the 3′-terminal side of the mRNA, and an arm segment that branches off from the single-stranded polynucleotide segment and has a linking segment with the protein on the terminal thereof, and one of the two 5′-terminal regions has a binding site with the 3′-terminal of the mRNA.
Abstract:
Provided are a mutant cis-prenyltransferase (CPT) family protein and a method for producing a polyisoprenoid, which enable the production of a high molecular weight polyisoprenoid. Included is a mutant cis-prenyltransferase (CPT) family protein obtained by mutating the amino acid sequence of a N-terminal region of a cis-prenyltransferase (CPT) family protein not found on rubber particles to be identical or similar to the amino acid sequence of a N-terminal region of a cis-prenyltransferase (CPT) family protein found on rubber particles.
Abstract:
To provide a mode-locked pulse photoproduction filter for easily realizing self-starting mode-locking, and a laser device for generating a picosecond or femtosecond-pulse laser light by including such filter, the laser device including an amplifying unit for amplifying and outputting a light inside a resonator, and the mode-locked pulse photoproduction filter having a first filter part for selectively outputting a first wavelength component that is a wavelength component of an oscillation band inside the resonator, and a second filter part for selectively outputting a second wavelength component that is a wavelength component different from the oscillation band inside the resonator.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an improved immuno-PCR method by using cDNA display comprising the steps of: immobilizing a first antibody having a binding site to a solid phase: contacting a sample fluid to said antibody to bind a target molecule in said sample fluid; contacting said target molecule to a cDNA display being composed of a backbone being composed of a double strand and a side chain having a second antigen binding site to which the second antibody is bound; and conducting polymerase chain reaction to detect said cDNA quantitatively. According to the improved immune-PCR method of the present invention, the target molecule is screened and obtained quantitatively, because it uses cDNA display being composed of one protein/peptide and one DNA.

Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide an aggregatable carrier material for drug delivery system and a micelle formed thereof. The present invention provides an aggregatable carrier material for drug delivery system, which is formed by utilizing the reaction between thiol group and alkyl halide. It is formed by using carbosilane dendrimers containing silole and labeled proteins such as green fluorescent protein in aqueous solvent or in mixed solvent of the aqueous solvent and organic solvent. The micelle composed of the material may incorporate compounds having a variety of molecular weight and biopolymers in the aqueous solvent.
