Abstract: A distal end of an endoscope insertion passage of an overtube is provided with a fluid supply and discharge port. When an observation window of the endoscope insertion part inserted through the endoscope insertion passage is cleaned, an operator can set a distal end surface at a predetermined positioning position using a positioning mechanism, without extracting the endoscope insertion part from the endoscope insertion passage. A concave cleaning storage part that communicates with the fluid supply and discharge port is formed inside the endoscope insertion passage on the distal end side. Cleaning water is supplied from the fluid supply and discharge port to remove foreign matter from the observation window, and stored in the cleaning storage part, and then, the cleaning water stored in the cleaning storage part is suctioned from the fluid supply and discharge port.

An endoscope engagement part engaged with the endoscope in the slider is movable in an upward-downward direction, and moves upward and downward along the position of the oblique endoscope insertion passage together with the movement of the slider in the forward-backward direction.

Parts of the large intestine separated by the resection of a tumor are sutured by using a suturing member 167. A sutured portion is imaged. Abstract: A propulsion apparatus for an endoscope includes a propulsion assembly for mounting on a tip device of the endoscope, for propulsion in a body cavity. First and second wire devices are disposed to extend from the tip device in a proximal direction, having a coil winding, for rotating to drive the propulsion assembly. First and second motors are connected with proximal ends of respectively the first and second wire devices, for rotating the first and second wire devices. A timer is actuated if a speed difference between rotational speeds of the first and second motors becomes equal to or more than a reference speed value, for measuring an elapsed time. A break detector detects breakage of the first wire device if the elapsed time becomes equal to or longer than a predetermined time. Abstract: An overtube, which is punctured into a body wall and guides an endoscope and a treatment tool into a body cavity, includes an interlocking member that interlocks the forward and backward movements of the endoscope and the treatment tool with each other. The interlocking member is constituted of a first sleeve coupled to the endoscope, a second sleeve coupled to the treatment tool, and a coupling member having an elastic body, which couples the first sleeve and the second sleeve together. Accordingly, in a case where the stretching of the coupling member is small, the endoscope interlocks with the forward and backward movement of the treatment tool at a slow response, and in a case where the stretching of the coupling member is large, the endoscope interlock with the forward and backward movement of a treatment tool at a quick response.
