Abstract: Disclosed are additives which are useful as dispersants in marine crankcase oils, hydraulic oils, and lubricating oils. In particular, disclosed are polyamino alkenyl or alkyl succinimides wherein one or more of the nitrogen of the polyamino moiety is substituted with: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.4 is alkylene of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms; m is an integer of from 0 to 2; R.sub.5 is alkylene of from 2 to 5 carbon atoms; p is an integer of from 1 to 100; R.sub.6 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and hydrocarbyl of from 1 to 30 carbon atoms; and with the proviso that if m is one or two then R.sub.6 is hydrogen.

Abstract: Sulfurized olefin compositions and components are prepared from sulfurizing high methylvinylidene polyisobutylene(s) having at least 25% methylvinylidene and a number average molecular weight in the range of about 120 to about 600, at suitable temperatures and pressures. The resulting sulfurized reaction product and polyisobutyl-1,2-dithiole-4-cyclopentene-3-thione compounds and derivatives are useful in lubricating oils.

Abstract: Very long chain alkylphenyl polyoxyalkylene amines having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl group having at least 40 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each independently hydrogen or lower alkyl having about 1 to about 2 carbon atoms and each R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is independently selected in each --O--CHR.sub.2 --CHR.sub.3 -- unit; A is an amine moiety derived from ammonia, a primary alkyl monoamine having about 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a secondary dialkyl monoamine having about 1 to 20 carbon atoms in each alkyl group, or a polyamine having about 2 to about 12 amine nitrogen atoms and about 2 to about 40 carbon atoms; x is an integer from about 1 to about 2; and y is an integer from about 5 to about 50. The very long chain alkylphenyl polyoxyalkylene amines of the present invention are useful as fuel additives for the prevention and control of engine deposits.
