摘要: An object detecting device and an object detecting method capable of performing appropriate object detection that distinguishes an approaching moving object from a stationary object accurately. The relative velocity of an object, which exists in the lateral direction of a vehicle, with respect to the vehicle is detected, the absolute velocity of the object in the horizontal direction of the vehicle is calculated on the basis of the detection signal, and it is determined whether or not the object is an approaching moving object on the basis of the absolute velocity of the object in the horizontal direction of the vehicle. Accordingly, since it is possible to accurately distinguish whether an object existing in the lateral or oblique direction of the vehicle is an approaching moving object or a stationary object, it is possible to appropriately determine whether or not the object is an approaching moving object.

摘要: A representative point corresponding to geometry of the road on which the vehicle is traveling is calculated based on positional information on a stationary target detected by a radar, and based on positional information of the calculated representative points, left and right side corresponding straight lines that correspond to left and right side edges of the road are calculated. With one of the corresponding straight lines that has a most distal end more proximal to the vehicle than that of the other being set as a reference corresponding straight line, information on curving geometry of the road is detected based on positional information on a representative point within a process targeted area that is sandwiched between the left and the right side corresponding straight lines and extends in the traveling direction of the vehicle and is also distal to the most distal end of the reference corresponding straight line.

摘要: A radar system includes an arithmetic processing unit, which calculates the second derivative of the intensity of a reflected wave and determines whether a target is an upper structure or a vehicle, based on the second derivative. Alternatively, the arithmetic processing unit decomposes the waveform of the intensity of the reflected wave into frequency components and determines whether the target is an upper structure or a vehicle, based on the intensity of a predetermined frequency component.

摘要: Disclosed is a MALDI-TOF MS plate with which mass spectrometry may be performed with high reproducibility, and mass spectrum may easily be obtained even when the sample is a macromolecular substance such as a protein or nucleic acid, as well as mass spectrometry by MALDI-TOF MS using the plate. The MALDI-TOF MS plate has nanodot regions having a surface formed of a material which easily adsorbs nucleic acids and/or proteins, to which regions a test sample is attached. The mass spectrometry of a nucleic acid or protein is carried out by performing MALDI-TOF MS using this plate and using the nucleic acid or protein as a test sample.

摘要: A master cylinder includes a cylinder body formed with an annular concave portion at a position surrounding a space where a piston is inserted so as to fit in the cylinder body. An annular cup seal is provided in the annular concave portion and includes an inner lip portion coming into sliding contact with the outer periphery of a piston, an outer lip portion provided on the outside thereof, and a base portion arranged along a first inner wall surface of the annular concave portion. The cup seal further includes a plurality of projecting portions coming into abutment with a second inner wall surface of the annular concave portion. Clearance areas are formed between the first inner wall surface and the base portion at positions opposing the abutting portions between the projecting portions and the second inner wall surface.

Source and drain electrodes are formed on the interlayer insulating layer, and are connected to the source and drain regions, respectively. A pixel electrode extends from the drain electrode, in the same plane as the source and drain electrodes. The source and drain electrodes each have a first conductive layer formed of a transparent conductive material, and a metallic second conductive layer formed on the first conductive layer. The pixel electrode is formed from the first conductive layer.

摘要: A content distribution system includes a management device and a viewing device. The management device manages encrypted content information. The viewing device acquires the encrypted content information from the management device, decodes the encrypted content information, and allows the decoded content information to be viewed. The management device includes a view control information issuing unit. Upon receipt of a request from the viewing device to issue view control information, the view control information issuing unit issues view control information including decryption key information corresponding to an (i)-th random number corresponding to an ordinal number (i) among plural random numbers and period-of-validity information about a period of validity. The plural random numbers are shared between the management device and the viewing device. The viewing device includes a storage unit, a counting unit, a holding unit, a request unit, a calculation unit, a display controller, an update unit, and a deletion unit.
