    Abstract: Systems and method are provided for transmitting data from a vehicle using a Wi-Fi network. A method includes: collecting, by a processor, performance data associated with a plurality of access points in the Wi-Fi network; segmenting, by a processor, a route into a plurality of route segments; mapping, by a processor, the plurality of access points to the plurality of route segments; selecting, by a processor, a set of access points from the plurality of access points based on the collected performance data, wherein the set of access points comprises a selected access point for each route segment of the plurality of route segments; predicting, by a processor, a scanning channel based on the set of access points and a current location of the vehicle; and selectively transmitting, by a processor, packet data based on the set of access points, the scanning channel, and the associated performance data.

    Abstract: A system, method and server for a controlling a relation between a vehicle and traffic flow over a road segment. The system includes a telemetric device of the vehicle and a processor of the server. The telemetric device obtains telemetric data related to the road segment being traversed by the vehicle. The processor determines a property of the road segment based on the telemetric data and a road profile for the road segment, determines a disruption score indicative of a level of disruption in the traffic flow for the road segment based on the property, and outputs a notification signal when the disruption score is above a selected disruption threshold. The notification signal is usable for controlling the relation between the vehicle and the traffic flow.

    Abstract: A system for object blurring in compressed videos includes sensors, human machine interfaces (HMIs), and control modules. Each control module has a processor, memory, and input/output (I/O) ports. The control modules communicate with the sensors and the HMIs via the I/O ports. The memory stores control logic that is executed by the processor. The control logic receives raw image data from the sensors, encodes the raw image data into compressed image data and stores the compressed image data in memory. The control logic parses and partially decodes the compressed image data to access raw independent video frames and performs post-processing algorithms on the raw independent video frames to generate post-processed independent video frames. The post-processed independent video frames are encoded and replace raw independent video frames in the compressed image data. The control logic transmits an output including the encoded post-processed independent and dependent video frames to the HMI.

    Abstract: A method for video streaming includes receiving an input image from a camera. The input image includes a plurality of input grid areas. The method further includes receiving a template image. The method further includes comparing the matching error with a template-matching error threshold to determine whether the matching error is equal to or greater than the template-matching error threshold in order to identify unmatched grid areas of the input image. The plurality of input grid areas includes the unmatched grid areas and matched grid areas. The matching error of the matched grid areas is not equal to or greater than the template-matching error threshold. The method further includes transmitting the unmatched grid areas of the input image and identification information of the matched grid areas to the vehicle, thereby minimizing bandwidth consumption used during video streaming.

    Abstract: A multimedia system is provided for a scalable infotainment system of a motor vehicle. The scalable infotainment system includes a camera, which is releasably attached to the motor vehicle and supports camera software components for generating a media signal. The multimedia system includes a media player and a computer attached to the motor vehicle. The computer has a processor and a non-transitory computer readable storage medium, which stores player software components including multiple streaming protocols used by the media player to play a media stream. The processor is programmed to transmit to the camera a player setup signal including data associated with the player software components. The processor is further programmed to receive from the camera a media signal associated with a media stream generated by the camera by using a common one of the streaming protocols supported by the camera and the media player.
